I was wondering when would be the best time to start making reservations for March 2005? I know it is a long time from now but this will be our first trip and we are all so excited. The trip includes my husband and myself and our 3 children all over the age of 7. Any recommendations on Resorts? Budget? Thanks

Oh I am so excited for you!!!
The first trip is the best. I wish I could do it again.

Well, Alot really depends on your budget. Where you stay, what you do, how long to go.

As far as making reservations at a hotel, I like to do it at about a year out. That way, I can make payments on it and have it all paid for before we get there.

Our first trip we stayed at the ASMu resort, stayed for about 7 days (4 of us) and just did disney only.
I think it came to about $4,000.00
Our plane tickets were paid for buy my husbands company through a contest he won.

Alot of your meals cant be booked until 60 days out. Some can be booked as far as 2 years out.

You are definitely at the right place to start planning, and it is not a minute too soon.
It takes alot of reading and questions and mind racking to get everything in order, but it is so much fun!!!

A good way to save is to have the kids save every penny they can get, so they can buy their own souveneers.
That saved us a fortune! They each went down with $400.00
What they came back with, they saved until next trip.

I could go on forever, but you will also find tons of info on this site.
Good luck and have a blast! Read everything you get your hands on and order the free planning video from Disney.
