It all seems like a dream until I am on the plane and they announce that we will be arriving in Orlando in 3 hours. Then I get CrAzY excited because I know that my next meal will be in WDW!!!!!!!! Woo-Hoo! Food just tastes better in Disney! Oh, why does it take soooooooo long for time to pass when you are waiting for your WDW vacation...
Everything is surreal until the first morning I wake up in the hotel beds. Then I look around and just think I'm finally here! Then I get all emotional... but in a really good way!
When I go under the Welcome sign and see Mickey and Minnie! That is when my heart starts beating really fast and I get so excited. DH and DD just laugh .
Unfortunetly we've had to cancel a few trips, so it does'nt feel real until we step out of the airport into the Florida sunshine and then drive under the Walt Disney World sign. Linda
For me, it was my first trip and it was when I seen Tinkerbell fly across for Wishes and seen the fireworks!! I literally just started crying!! Getting misty eyed just thinking about it
I'm crying now remembering it! Seeing the Castle, watching Tink fly, and Spectromagic - until then it's like I'm not really there. Even after that long drive down it still won't sink in!
For the last two times that I have gone, it was when my DFi came to my house and packed all my stuff in his mom's car. But I think that this trip will be different because it is our disneymoon and we won't be leaving until like a week after the wedding. I already know that I am going to be so impatient that week. Lol.
Its every time I log In here at Dis,It transports me to WDW everytime. The fact I can here from my Dis friend of the on goings Is special to me. Its when I am out and about and I can smell flame broiled bugers(i know its weird but it does) It takes me back to walking through the parks. Its on those warm summer nights just as the sun Is going down and can smell the salty water from the sound(we live here In seattle so we have In let that leads to the oceaan called the puget sound) It remiands me a little of the sulpher smell, you smell down In orlando/WDW area.
I get a bit of a double whammy. The last two years, three with this one, we leave day after school. So I have the excitment of school letting out and hitting the road.
For me it is Thursday. I get home, wash the car, mow the lawn. Feeling good the whole time. Take the back seats out of the van. Load everything in. Shower, and one more time check the DISboard.
Secondly....when we turn down I 75 in Florida. The billboards pop up.
WE BARE ALL. Then you know your heading in the right direction.
We drive to WDW, and it is around a 15 hour drive, so it's real for me when we get into the car for that drive. Every minute is well worth it. It's not so bad if you drive at night!!
For me, it's when I walk under the train station at MK. As soon as I walk under it and onto Main Street, I get this wonderful feeling. I can't describe it, but I'm sure there are others that know what I am talking about!
