Back out to Camp Minnie Mickey to finish looking at the decorations.
This is an easy one.

Final tree

IMG_3076.jpg

Or so I thought. I MISSED the NEMO tree!!!!! :scared1:

Oh Well, I will have to go back.

A little after 11am Chris called and said he was on his way to AK. We arranged to meet by the safari and ride.

The truck from the trek.

Lunch time

IMG_3093.jpg

Awwww

IMG_3096.jpg

IMG_3103.jpg

Apparently sitting upright earlier was just too much for him. :)

IMG_3118.jpg

IMG_3120.jpg

IMG_3124.jpg

Yes I still attempt to get a picture of the restricted are gate as we race by. Soon this area will be filled with zebras instead of poachers. :goodvibes

IMG_3126.jpg

And since this was my second safari …

IMG_3106.jpg

Right afterward we raced down to see the gorillas.

IMG_3127.jpg

Not too much action going on

IMG_3130.jpg

But(t) apparently he felt the need to tell me how he felt about having his picture taken.:rotfl2:

IMG_3128.jpg

Leaving Africa, but a quick stop to shop.

IMG_3131.jpg

IMG_3132.jpg

I am sure this was for Brooklynn in case she was still hunting a meerkat.

IMG_3133.jpg

Wandering back to Asia, since it is cool out maybe we will have good luck with the tigers.

IMG_3134.jpg

Our first stop.

IMG_3135.jpg

IMG_3136.jpg

IMG_3141.jpg

Over to the Bats.

IMG_3142.jpg

IMG_3143.jpg

Because he can… :rolleyes1

IMG_3144.jpg

Magnificent animals - Love the coloring

IMG_3145.jpg

IMG_3146.jpg

Just chillin’

IMG_3147.jpg

As I am watching the tigers Chris taps me and points. Over here.

IMG_3148.jpg

Clearly this guy is jealous and feeling left out.

IMG_3149.jpg

As we make our way through the rest of the trail.

IMG_3151.jpg

I need to figure out how to time this shot better with the sun.

IMG_3152.jpg

Past the monkeys

Little girl Monkey with her dad?

IMG_3154.jpg

IMG_3156.jpg

IMG_3157.jpg

Finally over to EE. Looks like we waited for the front row.
Not sure what this is?

IMG_3158.jpg

IMG_3159.jpg

IMG_3160.jpg

IMG_3161.jpg

IMG_3162.jpg

IMG_3163.jpg

Look at this. The girl behind Chris with the Dirty, Filthy shirt looking so bored and Chris holding on for dear life.

IMG_3166.jpg

Afterward We head to the front of the park. I pass a cart on the path from Dinoland to the Finding Nemo theater.

IMG_3167.jpg

I crack up. Chris urges me to get the shirt. So I do !!!
Some decorations in the stores.

IMG_3168.jpg

IMG_3169.jpg

Decide to stop in Guest Services so I can get yet another Annual pass.

IMG_3170.jpg

IMG_3171.jpg

I am sure we head out to try and get lunch. TIME 1:13pm
Chris is hungry and I have the idea to go to CSR because Pepper Market was having a special buffet during the holidays. He was hungry and I was hungry and it was already past feeding time.
We got out of guest services pretty quickly. Thought I took a picture of my new AP but don’t have one right here.

Out to the bus stop to wait. And Wait. And Wait. Finally a bus comes. We stop at BB.

We are starving we would just get off at the first stop the Casitas and walk back instead of going all the way around

Next up - The First Snit and I should of seen it coming. :sad2:

I think you left AK right when we were likely showing up. :rotfl2:

Love the gorilla butt picture. I mean, how often do you get to say you got a picture of a gorilla's butt? :rotfl:

/
Fantastic photos of the animals! What size lens were you using. How did you get those shots on EE? It looked like you were sitting still to get them.

You got some really awesome shots of the animals. I love the tiger with his leg slung back....just hanging out and relaxing.

I love that mickey bar t-shirt too.

I think that day that particular gorilla was just sitting there and then when a crowd showed up he turned around. On purpose. :lmao: To show his butt.:rotfl2:.
It was like here, shoot this... :rotfl:

I have a Canon power shot SX30 with a 35X zoom. It is essentially a point and shot with a few bells and maybe a whistle or two
I took the tracks and the scenery from the top when you stop. I took the Yeti when you stop inside the mountain to let the track flip.

I was able to extend the zoom most of the way to get the komodo and the hippo. :goodvibes

Oh. My. Gosh! :rotfl2:

I figured it might be you or Mark to comment first. Marv is AWOL but I am still holding out hope he might stop by.

Nice job scoring front row seats on EE.

I think we had a short wait so when we got up there we just jumped in the front seat line. We may have had to wait one or two more cycles. Not bad for NYE. :thumbsup2

Uh oh, a snit coming. Didn't feed the bear soon enough?

It was past feeding time for sure. But then it got worse. :scared1:

Such big kittens, when they just lay out sunning their tummies.

I love that mickey bar t-shirt too.

I LOLed when I saw it and love the reaction I get when I wear it. :)

We were so far back in the Lion King line when we decided not to wait, so we didn't get up there by the fan to see that tree. As crowded as it was that day, I might have been killed had I tried to just get up closer to get a tree picture. ;)

Brooklynn did get a meerkat, or a meerykat, as Bella calls it. She ended up getting it at the Nashville Zoo, actually. When the girls arrived Friday night, they each had a bag full of assorted plush friends and babies with which to play this weekend. I know Bella took a nap with Baby Ariel, and Brooklynn was sleeping with Thumper tonight. Clouded Leopard, new from the last Nashville Zoo trip a couple of weeks ago, also came, as did some other favorites.

Great safari shots! :thumbsup2

I am really looking forward to seeing the zebras! I haven't read a projected date, have you?

Great pictures from the Trek too!

I'm looking forward to hearing what you have to say about the buffet. I read a few reviews about it, and most were very positive....

Great T shirt!

Great pictures of the trees over in the Camp M&M area of the park. I am so disappointed that I never went over there in December and I won't make that mistake again!

Great pictures on EE!

Great animal pictures!

Great pre snit update! Looking forward to the actual snit. I am thinking about trying the Pepper Market in June so I'm curious to see what you thought!

I love how the Disney characters get their own tree at Animal Kingdom. Just another special touch.

The pictures you took on Expedition Everest were great. I've always wanted to keep my camera out on that ride but never do. Maybe next time.

I love all of your shots of the animals even if some of them were backside angles. LOL! I especially like the sleeping lion and tiger!

My DD still has some animals hanging around even though she is 21. Not so much for playing but general atmosphere.

Have not heard either. :confused3

Great pictures from the Trek too!

I hope to do that one day.::yes::

Oh yes the buffet.......:rolleyes1

Great T shirt!

I only wish it wasnt brown. Way too hot to wear in the summer. But I do love it.

I made that mistake the first time there during the holidays. I corrected it the next time but apparently still missed teh NEMO tree. Thrids times a charm. ;)

Thansk. I have stayed at CSR a few times and PM has always been great.

This time... :rolleyes1

Now that I have a neck strap I am more adventurous taking pictures on rides.:lmao:

I think the animals know and just us their best side when they are in a mood. :lmao:
