When going to the same park on multiple days...

Are you asking if we do our two Epcot Days or two AK days consecutively? The answer is maybe, maybe not.

We always do MK on our first day, and usually as our last park of the trip as well. We park hop a lot, like almost every day. We generally end every day with either MK or Epcot, and we do AK and HS mostly just in the morning/early afternoon. If we are planning to go to AK or HS more than once during a trip, those two days may or may not be consecutive.

We've never done consecutive days. If crowd calendars allowe it, I'd hit each park once before repeating any of them.

We get Park hopper and usually hit the second visit later in the evening and catch fireworks or a Dessert party.

I was considering doing a split stay, and adding prob. BC in addition to Poly. We would do our MK days while @ Poly, and our Epcot and HS days while at BC because of the proximity. Crowds are def. a factor though so I'll have to consider that too!

We spread them out except for Epcot, which we hit almost every day. We tend to stay at BWV and we have young children and try to pick one main park a day where we will get there early and stay as long as the kids can take it (7 or 8 typically). Though we always have a dedicated Epcot day, we also get park hoppers and my wife and I tend to walk around WS at night while the kids are falling asleep in the stroller. So, in that respect, we hit Epcot most days for at least a little bit.

As for MK, almost always the first full day and the last full day. And possibly a day in the middle too.

Like sdomino, we prefer to do all 4 parks in succession on the first 4 days ( crowd calendar recommendations permitting.) Then a rest day. Then we dive back into visiting for a second time. That way, if something unforseen comes up, we know we'll have seen at least some of each park.

We try to avoid consecutive days in the same park, just for more variety.

I usually base off of crowd calanders. I also usually won't do 2 days in a row at a park, I like to split it up.

I just pulled out my book for our next trip. OUr plan is as follows (and I do not follow the popular crowd calendar)
Tuesday: MK am/ EP PM (FP + at MK)
Wednesday: HS am/MK PM (FP+ at HS)
Thurday: EP (Debating about the after hours thing for just myself for the PM) (FP+ in AM)
Friday: HS am/MK pm (FP+ at MK)
Saturday: AK /PM resort only (FP+ at AK)
Sunday: MK PM (FP+ at MK)
Monday: AK AM/MK PM (FP+ at AK)

I start off figuring out how many days I want in each park and then I choose our parks based solely on lowest crowds to meet that. We go in whatever order it ends up being.

We go to MK as much as possible. Although we do spend at least one full day there, we also hop there in the evenings as much as we have the energy for. :)

Apologies this is my first post, We are going in October 14th Friday through Wed the 19th, staying at Bay Lake Towers. First time my family is going, wife and I plus my 9 and 6 year old boys. How could we improve this itinerary?

Fly in Friday morning, get to Bay Lake by noon, get settled and relax by pool. Head out in evening to explore and grab dinner
Saturday - head out and check out Magic Kingdom, though this is a Saturday and busy crowd day, I figure we'd have a lot of energy so we can do a lot
Sunday - head out to Animal Kingdom, rinse repeat
Monday - head out to Hollywood Studios - my boys are big star wars rebels fans
Tuesday - head out to Epcot
Wednesday - chill by pool and fly out

Does this sound good, still haven't figured out if we stay at park all day or come back for downtime and some lunner, as someone said to go back during dinner time to hit more rides, as lines should be low because people leave for dinner. Also thinking we due a character breakfast to get in early to a park one day, my kids are sort of too old for character breakfasts but I've read boards about getting the breakfast to get a jump on lines for rides?

Appreciate any and all advice.

We generally try to mix it up but where you have a location factor that changes when you move resorts, I wouldn't have a problem doing the same park two days in a row.

I follow easyWDW generally, and we don't park hop. It seems the last couple times that means no MK till the 4th day, but that's okay.

We avoid EMH parks and use EASYWDW's crowd calendars as a guide. Never done the same park on consecutive days, we mix them up, hitting a non-EMH park at rope drop then hopping to WS every day.

That sounds fine and not too hectic which is great. The easyWDW October recommendations are not out yet, so when they are, you could check that out and see if your parks are recommended on those days, and if not, if his reasoning is enough to make you want to switch it up.

We never used to go back to the room mid-day as it took a lot of time and instead stayed rope drop to supper or so...then we started going in June and the mid-day break from the heat was nice. October will hopefully be cooler. You can play it by ear- plan your FP+ for late morning/early afternoon and decide after you use those whether you want to get your additional FP+ for right away or get some for evening and take a break in between.

Also your kids are not too big for character breakfasts! Mine are 17 and 14 and they are not too big. Take a look and see which one they might enjoy most. I don't know how far ahead you'll get on lines but it is nice to walk in early. We are doing a pre-park Be Our Guest because I hear you can get one or two rides on Mine Train before opening but I don't know if there is an advantage on lines at any other parks. Also make sure you get an early time at your breakfast or you will still be eating/waiting for your check while the crowds are streaming in. Also make sure it isn't on that park's morning EMH! :)

I have an AP and we always get my son a length of stay PH so we just hop around. I've never looked at a crowd calendar in my life and don't usually make plans. We just go to whatever park we are in the mood for and if we were at that park yesterday, that's fine.

Our last trip was the first time in a while that we did the same park twice in the same trip. We did the MK as the crowd levels still left many things undone at the end of day one.

The next day we did epcot though as it was the last day of soarin'. Had we not split up the 2 MK days, we;d have missed Soarin' and the line for Test trak would have probably stretched out to Soarin'. So I think you have to take into account what attractions will be closed too.

It really depends on what works best for our overall plans. I prefer to stagger late nights/early mornings. So, if we were going to be at MK watching Wishes one night, the next day would be a sleep in day, so a park that we didn't care about getting to until later, or perhaps even an off day altogether. For us, MK is a rope drop park. On our trip last summer we did:

EP
MK
AK
HS
rest day
MK
MK
rest day
AK
rest day

So we did 2 MK days back to back, loved it. I would also probably do two AK days back to back.
