When going to the same park on multiple days...

Here is what we did on my last trip just over a week ago with our 9day park hopper tickets:

3/7: MK Arrival day
3/8: AM: HS PM Epcot
3/9: AM: AK PM: MK
3/10: MK
3/11: AM: sleep in PM: HS
3/12: AM: HS PM: MK
3/13: Epcot (slept in due to daylight savings time)
3/14: AM: AK PM: HS
3/15: MK
3/16: departure at 10:30am (no park)

We try and mix it up, with ten day tickets we usually do them all the first week, and all of them again the next week, with extra days at MK and Epcot in the middle.

I was considering doing a split stay, and adding prob. BC in addition to Poly. We would do our MK days while @ Poly, and our Epcot and HS days while at BC because of the proximity. Crowds are def. a factor though so I'll have to consider that too!
Even having stated that I'd never plan two consecutive days, if I had your resorts, I'd choose exactly what you're doing. I've never stayed so close to a park and I can imagine that proximity to parks is the number 1 perk at the Deluxes. I think you'll enjoy your current plan.

Apologies this is my first post, We are going in October 14th Friday through Wed the 19th, staying at Bay Lake Towers. First time my family is going, wife and I plus my 9 and 6 year old boys. How could we improve this itinerary?

Fly in Friday morning, get to Bay Lake by noon, get settled and relax by pool. Head out in evening to explore and grab dinner
Saturday - head out and check out Magic Kingdom, though this is a Saturday and busy crowd day, I figure we'd have a lot of energy so we can do a lot
Sunday - head out to Animal Kingdom, rinse repeat
Monday - head out to Hollywood Studios - my boys are big star wars rebels fans
Tuesday - head out to Epcot
Wednesday - chill by pool and fly out

Does this sound good, still haven't figured out if we stay at park all day or come back for downtime and some lunner, as someone said to go back during dinner time to hit more rides, as lines should be low because people leave for dinner. Also thinking we due a character breakfast to get in early to a park one day, my kids are sort of too old for character breakfasts but I've read boards about getting the breakfast to get a jump on lines for rides?

Appreciate any and all advice.
I wouldn't choose MK on a Saturday if I didn't have to. And, if I were you I'd make your last day another half day at MK. Having just one day there isn't going to allow you to see much.

Never as the primary park. The crowd calendars never seem to work out that way anyhow. However, with Park Hoppers, we are often in a park two days in a row for specific purposes.

I'm another Crowd Calendar Disciple. Plus I always have a hopper, which affects things.

For my April trip this year, easywdw has Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday as the recommended MK days, so that's what I started with when planning. Saturday night at DHS, Monday a split DHS/Epcot day, Wednesday at AK, Friday at Epcot. So I usually do end up "mixing" days.

Doing 14 nights at WBC but only 6 park days. Based days on crowd calendars from TouringPlans, EasyWDW and that's Dad's Blog.

1. Arrival Day
2. Pool Day
3. MK
4. HS
5. Pool Day
6. EP
7. AK
8. Pool Day
9. Pool Day
10. MK
11. MK
12. Pool Day
13. NASA
14. Pool Day

We do not do consecutive days at the same park, we like to mix them up. We normally do Mk on our first and last days and maybe one day in between too and then add in the other parks.

This upcoming trip I am doing AK, MK, MK, EP, EP. Mainly due to th ADRs I got. I snagged a BOG lunch ADR that first MK day so everything else fell into place

We mix it up and usually try to visit each park in the first four days. When the food and wine festival is on we try to spend our evenings at EPCOT more days. MK would be the only day I could do 2 days in a row. I'd have to plan to get in half the park on each day.

OP We never go to the same park on consecutive days. We mix it up. We also use Crowd Calendar recommendations and our years of experiences to choose which park which day

Please see what I bolded above. It is highly unlikely that even if you arrive at BLT at noon that you will have access to your Villa to settle in until 4 or after. DVC checkin is 4 PM and most resorts run close to 100% nightly occupancy, by design. If you want to swim, pack suits and what you need in your carry ons.
Be sure to check easywdw crowd calendars when they come out for recommended park days.
Make FP+ choices for your parks of choice 60 days in advance.
Start planning your ADR's if you plan on any sit down restaurant meals as your window to book at 180 days in advance is fast approaching. We plan to eat in or near the park we will be in that day. WDW is huge and traveling for a meal is a waste of time
Good Luck

you make a great point, we will pack suits. My point being that we aren't going to go to the park since it's a travel day. I think we will do one ADR which will be that first night, any suggestions for a place? We're trying to find a balance of "enjoying" our vacation and giving ourselves flexibility vs the nature of being a "tourist tom" to get the most out of our visit. If we plan ADR's on other nights I feel we'll be stuck in this rut.

So first day (Friday) will be check in, familiarize ourselves with our surroundings, enjoy the pool, and head out to a ADR
Saturday - since we want to avoid Epcot and Magic Kingdom, we plan on hitting Animal Kingdom, since we may be out late the night before.
Sunday - we'll do Hollywood Studios
Monday - we'll do Magic Kingdom
Tuesday - Epcot
Wednesday - if we can get a half day pass perhaps we'll go back to MK or Epcot.

We also need to fit in the Halloween Party at some point as well.

Thanks again for all the great suggestions

We only do consecutive days at the same park if we do it during the day on day 1 then the evening day 2 or vice versa. Depending on how long we are there, we usually do one park during the day for the 1st 4 days (MK, DHS, EP, AK) in that order. If we feel like it we will switch parks in the evenings if we do not feel like staying where we are or going back to the resort. We usually take day 5 to do something else (shopping etc), then start the cycle again.
