We can't find anything that says it isn't okay. If you really aren't sure, you can send the ticket office an email and tell them exactly about it; that it is the offer from the Brazil website, etc. etc. etc. Give them the url and have them check it out.

You would think if the website works, and it is a legitimate website (which it is), the offer should stand.

I sent an inquiry. I'll post the response I get.

When they scan at the turnstiles, they read as adult or child. So even though they look identical, there is a difference.

How do you know that? They truly were all identical :confused3 . I think I even remember someone else posting back then that they were good for either an adult or child. Considering that their promotions usually cost the same for adults and children's tickets, I question whether the tickets were actually designated as either.

I have my sources. ;)

That was probably me. When the offer first came out, the tickets were identical but that was changed within a couple of weeks . (I blame that on people selling the free tickets on eBay.) The tickets came out in January and by the first of February, they were designated as child's tickets but only when you scan them. Because people would get them mixed up at the turnstiles, a few weeks later they started printing child on them. So unless you purchased your tickets in the first 3 weeks of January, the tickets actually scanned as child's. The new offers available now, do have it written right on the ticket and they will scan as child's tickets.

Okay, so can a child use an adult's ticket :)? We have four kids so if I wanted to take advantage of the latest "buy an adult ticket get a child's free," can one of my kids use the third adult ticket?

Yes.

Ok, this gets weirder and weirder. When I put the 2 park, one day tickets in my cart through the regular site they list as $500 apiece! any advice?

Clear your cookies and try again. Make sure that the quantities are correct. It seems to work fine for me.

Ok I think I am going to try and get this offer, do they really check birth certificates, it says if you are over 54" tall you need to provide birth certificates, I would rather not have to bring all of those to the park. Also is there anyway not to do the electronic pickup, I would feel better if I had them in my hand.

You can have the tickets sent to you. It is an extra charge though. I don't have an answer for you about the birth certificates. I have never seen anyone being asked but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

I hate bringing any important papers to the parks as well. I like to keep them locked in the safe at the hotel.

thanks I am glad you are on the case:teacher:

Got the free child tickets from a ticket agency last week, when I checked on the UO website and they weren't offering them, but now they are. They are real and it's the same deal as last year, although last year I think you only had seven days in which to use them from your first admission and now you have fourteen.

So IF I am able to get the child's tix free--is there an expiration date on them? I understand 7or 14 days from first day but what about year?

thanks

This is from the UK section of Universals website "The offer is valid for purchases made from 1 January 2007 to 30 April 2007 and is valid for travel anytime during 2007. Tickets must be redeemed on or before 31 December 2007."

Those are 3 day/ 2 park tickets. The adult ticket is $112 and you can get one free child ticket for each adult ticket purchased.

If the Brazil offer is current and valid (there are no dates listed on it). Then thats $109.95 for a 5 day/ 2 park ticket also with one child ticket per an adult admission.

My guess is no matter what section the ticket is purchased from the childrens ticket will expire at the end of this year.

The only thing I am worried about is that it says.

"Photo ID must be presented at front gate turnstile."

Would they somehow know that these are UK tickets and require a UK ID?? . When you purchase the Florida tickets, they verify residency on line prior to the purchase and they are not doing that for the UK tickets. I have emailed US but not heard back from them.

I could not find anywhere on the restrictions where it says that you must be a UK resident to use these tickets. The Brazil deal is actually better if you plan on staying more than 3 days and I don't see anything about residency there either. I haven't heard back from the ticket office either with my inquiry.
