When does the ticket sale end for Univ. (7 day for $85)?

Goofy & Sleepy

Did you mean child ticket expire December 2007? Why would you be able to get it online if the child ticket is already expired?

I am curious about this 2 day/ 2 park kids free ticket offer. You don't seem to be able to link to it from the ticket sales page and when you link to it from the mousesavers.com page it has something about Brazil in the url. Upon further investigation, I have found the link to the deal through the international universal website.

Interesting.

Yes, the child's tix expired 12/31/06 on the buy 2 days get 3 days free...I had looked at it yesterday off the mousesavers link & it was there....it's gone now...guess the $85 is the replacement. The quote above is directly from the universal rep

The link is still on the mousesavers site.

The deal is through the international websites. Maybe phamton can help us out here about the validity of the tickets.

It looks valid to me. It is the official site for US tickets not some shady ticketbroker or timeshare. I went so far as to checkout and it lets you do everything even with a USA address. Mousesavers is very good at checking out the great deals so I have no reason to doubt the validity.

But when the person above contacted the ticket office, they were told that the free child ticket had expired. I assume that the ticket office was thinking it was the old free child's ticket.

The ticket office may have been referring to the 5 day tickets that were sold several months ago that included the child's free ticket. These tickets are marketed for Brazilians.

The first ones were part of the Kids Stay, Play and Eat campaign last January and have expired. These seem to be a different campaign but I'll see what I can find out.

I am pretty sure the free childrens ticket is the same deal from last year and this is a mistake. If you look at either Mexico or the Puerto Rico section under international the deal is listed on their ticket pages as well. Except when you click on details it says "Tickets must be used by December 31, 2006". Considering Universal stopped offering either the free ticket or the buy a 2 day ticket get 3 days free in the US I am unsure why it will be available to people in Brazil.

Anyways its not working for me at least. I tried adding the tickets to a cart and seeing if I could get it and instead of listing the child ticket for free its listed as being $109.95.

I can get it to work and can't seem to find any expire date when I click on the info. Anyone else? (I don't know why I care, I have no kids under 9!!!)

Thanks for the information. You are probably correct. Looks like they need to update the website.

I don't know about that. On the UK site, this is what the info says when you click on it. Looks like it is a current offer. So, if they are offering free kids tickets there (even though the offer is a bit different), maybe the other ones are valid. Hmmmmmm.

Could it be available to certain markets online only? I'm from Toronto, Canada. It seems to work from my computer. It lets me go all the way to entering my CC info. But I'm afraid to buy if the children tickets are expired. On the other hand I don't want to miss this deal since I have two boys under 9 and it would save us $126 over the $85 deal.

We are going to do 3 half days max. I don't see too many deals for families with young children.

Hmmm? What to do?

OK I just went clear to checkout with my Orlando address with no problem. I picked 2 adults and 2 free children's tickets. It did the total tickets including my free children's tickets and it worked. All I needed to finish the transaction was to give my credit card information. Here is the total:

That offer from the UK version is working for me and that does sound like a current valid offer. I would be willing to trust that those tickets would work. (Although really I don't care either I have an annual pass and no kids...)

There is just so many differant ways to get tickets and Universal has been offering a lot of differant deals its hard to keep track of whats current and whats not. Its very possible that one on the Mexico page is current and the reason for the 2006 date is just a mistake. Not sure if its been fixed yet but Universal had a contest running this month that said you had to sign up by the end of January 2006...

Hi. I have a question... probably a dumb one. My son is 9 now, but he will be 10 by the time we hit Orlando, so does that mean no use of the free child ticket for me? I would assume it is age at the time of use, but it can't hurt to ask, right?

I know it's been said before, but a 10 year old just "ain't" an adult, lol!

Just last night we ordered for 6 people. 3 adults and 3 free kids. We live in Ohio. No problems.

He has to be 9 years old or younger to use the child's ticket.

Unfurtunately, all the themeparks in Orlando use the 3-9 years old criteria for the child's ticket. I remember my own parents saying I wasn't an adult when I turned 13 and couldn't get in the movies with a child's ticket anymore and that was in 1963. :)

It is the age at first use so you are correct you would be unable to use these tickets. Disney has the same policy as long as the person was the correct age at the first use of the ticket and it still has days which have not expired yet when they turn 10 or if they come back years later as an adult the park will swap out the childrens ticket with an adult ticket.

When there was a similar offer last year I bought the tickets online and there was no designation between the four tickets (two were freebies) that they were either for an adult or a child (I mean when I received them they were all identical). I believe I could have used the four tickets for four adults.

When they scan at the turnstiles, they read as adult or child. So even though they look identical, there is a difference.
