Great trip! Out of curiosity, what is your favorite DCL ship?

Thank you! I think the Fantasy was my favorite but it's been so long since we went on that ship in 2019! I do love the Treasure but not the dining rooms and I think the crew needs more polish. The lounge areas are super nice and I love the itinerary but it was the same itinerary we did on the Fantasy in 2019 so maybe that's why!

I was feeling melancholy just reading about your last day walking around Epcot. You managed to capture that last day feeling only too well.

I have a similar problem!! But at least you've been to California and Hawaii!! I've never been west of Iowa--how ridiculous is that?! I've been to the states we have to drive through to get to Hilton Head Island and Florida, but that's not saying much either. I really need to branch out.

Oh my gosh that's surprising with all of your summer road trips! Time for both of us to head West!

Whenever you do get to try real Chicago style pizza, don't be fooled. Deep dish is not the way real Chicagoans eat pizza. Tavern style is the way to go 1000%. My cousins actually opened a pizza bar/restaurant in St. Augustine, FL, and theirs is honestly my favorite pizza!

I've never heard of Tavern Style Pizza but I'll keep that in mind!

I find myself looking for Spike even when I don't do the hunt. It is more fun with someone.

It's such a fun activity. I'm going to have to stop myself from looking for remy when I'm there for one day next month so Mike and I can do it together in October!

We hit it at the end of the festival and it was empty then too. I guess they had already hatched and flown away.

How funny, I never would have thought that! We typically go in April and I guess that's the sweet spot becaue there are usually tons of butterflies!

I'll be there for quick weekend in September after you leave.

Oh too bad we're missing each other!

What a terrible way to start the day and I just know how devastated my kids would have been if that happened on vacation. I hope she was able to replace her phone. I just know that's something she'll never do again!

Ugh!!! How awful for her. I put a pop-socket on and worry less, but it's always a fear. I lost a phone once when I had it in my bra and dunked in the salt water in Florida and had totally forgotten it was there. It was AWFUL the work finding a new one and getting my data back.

When I got off I just sort of wandered through World Showcase,
enjoying the weather and all the topiaries.

Best way to enjoy the WS!

Mike (my DH) and I will usually do the scavenger hunts but we will spread it out over a couple of EPCOT days.

Apparently, there are 2 hunts at F&W this year. A pumpkin one and the Remy one. I'll do both cuz I think they're pretty fun, but they do take time for sure.

I'm not going to lie, I do sometimes use the iphone clean-up to erase people from my pics
but that wasn't necessary this morning...

I do that too. I don't like the "noise" of the people in my pix either.

From there I headed over to thank the phoenicians.

One poor guy ended up having to sit in front with the driver because he was so big and wouldn't have been able to fit in the back with us.

Heh, I always choose the front if I can. More room and don't feel obligated to chat.

We did finally take off and had an uneventful flight and landed at 6pm, thank goodness!

I don't know if Caroline already reached out to you, but I would sure LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to meet up even if for a short time. She and I will be there from the 22-29th if any of those days work to hang out. I'll also be there with a different friend starting the 19th.

It's a little bento box thing. I never pay for the hunts. LOL! I take a picture of the map and do my own without the $$. I can get a drink for the price of it.
