When does it hit you....

Seeing palm trees...ooh, I'm in Florida!

MCO carpet (not now that it is all dirty, but when it was all pastel-y), and the stores, like Dan said...ooh, I'm in Orlando!

But it is when I drive under the WDW gateway (or whatever it is called) that I say...ooh, I'm in Disney!

But I really feel it the most when I enter whatever park I go to first...usualy Epcot, sometimes MK.

when we get off the plane and feel heat instead of cold

Mine comes in waves too....

Boarding the plane here at home - I know I'm on my way....

Walking down the Jetway in MCO, seeing the terminal at the end. I always take the same airline, usually the same flight & almost always the exact same gate. It's warm in the Jetway, no matter what time of year.

The monorail ride to baggage claim lets me know I've arrived.

That first burst of Tropical air as we step out to get in the towncar.

But when it really, really hits me, is after the bellman has brought us to our room & I step over to see the view - I breathe deeply & relax knowing I have a worry-free vacation ahead of me.

When I walk outside the baggage claim and see my first palm tree, that is when it hits me: I am in Florida!

When we first see Main Street and hear the music, then we know we have arrived at Disney!

As soon as we reach Florida.

agreed!

When we see the entrance to Disney. There's Mickey Mouse or some character on both sides of the road. I always take a picture going through, dh always teases me about how many pictures I have of that. I can't believe that our next trip is right around the corner

For me it's when I see the white Mickey gloves waving at me in MCO. On this last trip I didn't see any until I got all the way to the Magical Express check-in desk, and I let them know how disappointed I was to not have seen them sooner.

When we walk into the lobby of Wilderness Lodge. Last trip, we spent the first night at the Swan. Didn't even feel like we were at Disney until we checked into the lodge. What a place!

As soon as we get into our hotel room, and we all start jumping on the beds! :rolleyes1

Entering the property of WDW and seeing the big sign letting you know you're "here".
41 days for me!!!

It's that wonderful smell inside Pop Century and I'm home sweet home.

I think that first look at the front gate at MK is pretty amazing as well. princess:
