When do you pay the gratuity for a return transfer?

We have booked a return trip from WDW to Discovery Cove with Tiffany Town Car. I understand we are suppose to pay the driver the full fare when he send us there. Do we pay the full gratuity at the same time, or do we pay gratuity only on our return trip?

I always ask will you personally be picking us up? If no I give him half of the tip and the other half to the other driver. If he says yes than I always say okay great and give him the entire tip at the end. Good luck and discovery cove is awesome!!!!

I never, ever pay the entire gratuity up front. You are now, in all reality, tipping for service you have yet to receive. So, if the return service is awful, are you going to ask for a refund???
Pay half for each trip. Much safer that way..especially when they are asking you to pay the entire cost up front!!

Oh! Is it not normal to pay upfront? This is the first time I am using a town car service, so very green . Also, are we expected to pay cash or do we provide them our CC details. I readyin another thread that payment is by CC. Is it always the case ? TIA

Different companies have different requirements. I've used car services that require you to pay with a cc, when you book, or sometimes when you meet up with the driver at the airport. I've also used car services that are fine with cash. But I won't pay the entire amount unless I'm 100% sure that I will be happy with the service I get.
And even if I have paid the entire amount, up front, at the airport, I still only tip on that leg..then tip the rest when I get back to MCO.
