When do you "open" your pool?

Not trying to be snarky, but mine is open all year round. Haven't been in it since Thanksgiving, but might try this weekend. It's going to be in the upper 80's here.

Don't have it heated yet, but am considering it.

We usually open ours the last week of May or the first week of June, since everyone is still in school until almost the end of June. We live in NH. We got a pool heater last summer though, and I'll be home from college the beginning of May, so it's definitely possible that it will be opened earlier than normal. I really don't know

Mid to late May here in the Chicago area for us.

We cover ours from Nov. - May. It's still pretty cold in May because we have woods behind our house and the pool doesn't get enough sun to keep it heated throughout the day/night. We do swim in it, but we freeze our tootsies off. Mid June is when the water gets really nice.
