When do they take down the Christmas Decor?

Just wondering if anyone knows when they take the holiday decorations down? Thinking of going in early January. Thanks!!

In 1999/2000, they still had the decorations up and the carols playing in the parks until about Jan. 3.

Last year when I was there in Dec they were sch to have the Osborne lights up til Jan 5.

I have gone 3 times at the very beginning of January-2000,2001, and 2002, and I can say from my experience that it really varies! And what's published isn't always the reality. In 2000, Osborne Lights were scheduled to end the day before I got here (1/3 I think). Well, my first night some people walked into the food court-they'd just seen them!) And when I left, 1/8, many decorations and the Xmas trees at POR and POFQ were still up (CMs said they'd been too busy to take them down). Last year, Epcot tree was still up 1/2 but down by 1/4 (the tall tree with the arches over it at the end of FW). But Main Street in MK was still all decorated on the Enight of 1/3 (I think that's when). So it seems to depend on the time the CMs have, not a set date.
