When do i order my disney visa reward gift card to get it in time

We leave November 30. I know I can pick one up at the park guest services when we are there (I believe at DTD where they sell tickets too right?)

Was wondering if I order it what day i should order it by if we are leaving Nov 30. Will the thanks giving holiday in there effect how long it will take? Or should I just spend the time at Disney going to guest services so it can't be "late". So stoked we have over 400! In rewards to pay for dining and I haven't paid one cent in interest!

I would say to just order it now. It most likely will be valid until Dec 2013. Keep in mind that once you transfer your points onto a rewards card that they are then subject to the expiration date of that card. I usually order mine early with the minium points required (I think 10 or so) then at the last minute go online or call and trasfer everything else onto it.

I would order it now. My mom usually recieves hers within a week. Also-here's a little tip for you regarding the rewards expiring--go to The Disney Store--purchase a gift card for whatever ever amount you have on your rewards card--then..pay for said gift card with the rewards card. The new gift card DOES NOT EXPIRE! HTH!!

You can get the rewards card at the place you metnioned in DTD as well as the cutomer service window at the front of each park. We have redeemed ours at DHS, AK, MK and the International Gateway at EP.

thanks! i didn't know i could add what ever balance i accumuliate onto the new card after i get it so that's good to know. Also didn't know i could buy a disney giftcard with it. If I have any left over I will be sure to do that before I leave.

Chase told us that it would take 10 buisness days to ship a card.

I ordered ours a couple weeks ago. I only put $25 on it and then when it gets closer to our trip (end of October) I will put everything else on it. I wanted to make sure it covered through our last VISA statement.

Yes it is done immediately. We waited until we were ready to check out on our last trip. I called from the lobby and it was good by the time we were ready for check out.
