I've heard that, for some attractions, Fastpasses run out. Maybe we can have a little cheat sheet for when this is likely. All you have to do is reply about when you have seen them run out by. or if you have seen them available throughout the day.

I am particularly intersted in:
Kali River Rapids
Kilimajaro Safari
Buzz Lightyear
Splash Mountain
Jungle Cruise
Expedition Everest

But you can post about any others that you like

Thanks.

Well, it depends on the time of the year. During slower times the fastpasses will be out longer, while during busy times/holidays, the fastpasses will be gone faster. That being said, however, I think there are attractions that will be gone fast no matter what time of year it is. They are:
*Soarin
*EE (especially because it's new, but also because it's big)
*Safari (Since there aren't too many big rides at AK, probably all fastpasses here will go fast. That, and the park closes the earliest).
*A side note, I don't think you'd have to worry about Kali River Rapids during the cooler months. But during the summer- beware! Those go FAST!! Same goes for Splash Mountain.
So for the ones above, I wouldn't be surprise if they were all gone by 11:30-12 or earlier. As for any others, like I said depending on the year, they could be gone by 1-2pm. So it really depends.

Can anyone provide a strategy for getting fastpasses to those of us who have never been there before? Do you have to go to the actual ride itself to obtain the fastpass? I will have a 3yo and 7yo with me. What should I try to get fastpasses for at each park and do I do it when we first get there and then they expire in an hour or something? (still trying to understand). We will be at MK 2 days, AK 1 day, MGM 1 day, and Epcot 1 day. Any thoughts or suggestions?

What worked best for my planning: buy the UG (Unofficial Guide to WDW). This is a great book that will give you touring plans for the parks with your kiddos, what to ride first, when to grab a fastpass. The general advice is to get there when the park opens and do the big rides first. You can accomplish the most rides and attractions this way, and wait in line the least. HTH! :sunny:

Found these Fastpass tips a couple days ago:

One person from your group can take all of your passes (provided everyone is at that park) and go to the fastpass machine, which is near the entrance to each attraction, and get FP for all of you. I am the "runner" for my family.
Here's the FP I always go for...
MK - Space Mt., Big Thunder Mt., Splash Mt.
MGM - Rock n Roller Coaster, Tower Of Terror, Lights, Motors, Action
Epcot - Soarin!!!!!, Test Track, Mission Space (not for me but for DH and DS)
AK - Expedition Everest, Safari, Kali River Rapids, It's Tough to be a Bug (If it's really crowded)

We like to get to a park (I'll use Epcot) when they open. We head straight to Soarin, grab FP for each of us, ride Soarin, then head right over to Test Track and ride it, since at this point it will only be about a 15 minute wait. Then we'll head back over to the area near Soarin and go to the Living Seas for Turtle Talk, and look around. By then it's time to use our FP for Soarin again and you've done some of the busiest attractions in about an hour and a half or so....Hope this helps!!! :)
