When did you send out your invitations?

I've been wondering. My wedding is August 28 2008. almost everyone is coming from NJ to Disney.

How far in advance do i send out the invite and when do i set the date for the rsvp?

I will be in NJ for my bridal shower on june 7th. So I was thinking of sending the invites out as soon as we get back home to Fl. Is that to soon?

I was also planning on sending another newsletter with times and stuff for the guest, etc.... I plan on sending those out as soon as the guest reply with a "yes"

My wedding is 11/9/08 and we are considering sending our invitations out in July because we know our families can be slow to respond. We want all of our RSVPs back by September 9th so we will still have time to pester people before the room block closes on October 9th. I don't know if this is excessive but it made sense to us!

Wedding is 2/4/08. Disney sent out Save the Dates in Aug. 07 as soon as we signed the contract. We sent invites Nov. 1 07 with an RSVP of Dec. 1, giving us about a month before our payment was due.

Definitely tell people ASAP so they can plan, but you don't need to send out the actual invite right away. Most of our people didn't book til the last minute anyway....
