My first (of over 50) visit was in November 1971, less than a month after the park opened. Click HERE to see me in 1971, and in the exact same spot 33 years later (minus the bad hair and shoes)
Summer of 1979. I was 11. I remember they still had the tickets. I must have ridden Space Mountain 10 times. That's my strongest memory of that trip. Then after years of planning and dreaming, I finally went back with my dh and two boys when they were 6 and 7 in May of 2002. It was the most magical time. We have been back two more times and are a few weeks away from our next magical journey.
October 2003, I was 31. It was also a first for DH, DS2 and DS4 at the time. Hubby and I went in January 2004 by ourselves and going as a family again in April 2005.
1st time I went to WDW was in November 2001 {over Thanksgiving}. I wanted to wait until my son would be old enough to remember it {he was 5 1/2...wouldn't have mattered anyway...my cousin taped the entire vacation and gave it to us as a Christmas gift}. 2nd time was Nov 03. Went to Disneyland when I was 4 {we lived in CA at the time but I don't remember much}.
Was amazed at the technology. REALLY fell in love after not being there for a few months and started to get withdrawal so I made a spur of the moment decision and decided to spend my next birthday at Disney in Jan 05. Possibly again when I graduate from college {hopefully late next year}, then again in Dec 05. Thinking of going for my 30th b-day as well!
It's funny when people ask you why you don't go anywhere else. Why would we? Why on Spaceship Earth would we WANT to go anywhere else?
