My very first trip was summer of 1975, I was 14 yrs old. I only remember bits and pcs of it.....Cindy's castle the most, going through the turnstills....don't know why I remember that and the paper tickets...I still have them!!! Also pictures and post cards. My parents took my brother and I along w/my cousin who is only 9 mths younger than I am and her brother that is the same age as my brother...so mom and dad had 2 girls ages 13 and 14 and 2 boys 9 yrs old. We went to Panama City Beach, FL, down to Tarapon Springs to see the sponge divers, to Clearwater and Bush Gardens, over to Disney, to Silver Springs and Cypress Gardens, to Daytona Beach (remember the cars on the beach!) and St Augustine. Awesome family memories!!
2nd trip was Labor Day weekend 2001---1 week before 9/11. Went 3 days w/6 other ladies (all travel agents). No husbands, no kids just us girls age 35 and older. Had a blast!!
3rd trip was 5/30-6/4 of 2004. Took DH on his first trip at age 49!! (CAN YOU BELIEVE?) and DDs 12, 7 and 4.
Can't wait to go back.
Karibeth19---you are so right....there is a big difference going as a child yourself vs going w/your children as an adult. Totally different "magic".
Thanks for a great thread...has been fun to remember.
