When are you Putting your Christmas Tree Up ??

We try to keep Christmas really special and so usually put it up the weekend before Christmas. This year however, we have some new cruising friends coming for the weekend of Dec 10th and meeting some old cruising friends, as they're going on the same cruise over New Year - are you still with me, 'cos I'm confused now - SO I'm putting the tree up on 10th! I want the house to look really special and I know with my tree and decorations it will.

DH will be starting to sort out his "plan" for the Christmas lights outdoors next week, it takes two or three weeks for them to all go up and with the Disney inflatables etc, then we will show for a tree the last week in November and then decorate ready for December 1st and the grand switching on ceremony!! :) This year will be even better because it will be our little ones first Christmas! princess:

We put ours up any Time during December :) I usually try to do it before the kids break up from school :) Im one of these people that cant stand anyone else near me when im decorating the tree :teeth:

I havent seen any trees but I have seen a few people putting some lights up, I saw them and thought of you Mandy! ;)

We always put ours up on the 1st of december. If DH would let me put them up any earlier i would :teeth: I love shopping at the trafford centre :cheer2:
What a coincidence, I put mine up on the 1st December too, and I'm called Michelle. DH won't let me put mine up and earlier either.

Last year all the needles had fallen off our tree by the week before xmas so we had to go and buy another one... :rotfl2:

Am I the only silly person in the world who has to vacuum the xmas pressies under the tree? :rotfl:

Ours are going up December 1st this year which is earlier than usual so yay. :cheer2: Can't wait!!!

Today I noticed that some Christmas Trees have been put up in Coventry town centre

Well I had my arm twisted and the office tree was put up yesterday :goodvibes
Now who took the Christmas box and lights out of the cupboard :rolleyes1

DF & I have been measuring and re-measuring our living room and have realised the biggest tree we can fit in is 4ft!!!

We have really high ceilings but not a very big room and because of furniture
& radiators etc we cant squeeze a big tree in!

Even the 'slim' trees are too wide so we are getting a 4ft real tree to stand ontop of a side table we have.

As the tree is real it will be going up only a week or two before xmas but I will be putting other decorations up before then.

Hi Mandy

Noticed today that a house near me in Coventry already has the tree and outside decorations up ! :rotfl: But if it keeps them happy then so be it! I'll put my tree & decorations up on the 12th (12 days before and 12 days after Xmas - the old-fashioned way!). Make a change to the past 3 years - tree went up Christmas Eve when I got back from USA (now I'm starting to get upset yet again! am not going this year!!!)

Whoo Hoo!!!

DF has been searching the internet and found a website for a company that do lots of xmas trees and they have some super slim ones at just 60cm wide which will fit in our living room!!

We just bought that last one a 7ft high 60cm wide tree!

Here it is, it's the super narrow tree
