I use wheelchair assistance at MCO, but then DH will take me and said wheelchair to baggage claim, then we'll go to the car rental. He wants to know whether he has to leave the wheelchair inside the confines of the airport building, or would he be able to use it to bring me to the car rental location also (and then leave the wheelchair there)?

The wheelchair is supposed to remain in the terminal building. DW uses wheelchair assistance at the airport. What we do is have then take us to baggage claim and get our luggage, then go outside. There are benches out by the roadway. She stays there with the luggage while I go get the car. I use Alamo with the ship the line option. Never takes more than 20 minutes to walk to the garage, get the car and drive around to baggage claim and pick her (and the luggage) up.

Thanks! Coincidently we have exactly that rental car situation-Alamo, skip the line option-DH was concerned about how long it would take a lot longer to get to the garage, get the car, and drive to baggage claim to pick me up. At another airport it took almost an hour.

Just to add. We fly in from the pacific northwest and fly Alaska. They are at the very end of terminal B and the furthest away from the rental garage as possible. The walk to the garage is maybe 5 minutes. We've done this at least a dozen times and is always been quick and painless. I have also done this with Southwest (side A), with the same results..
