Wheelchair seating with Fantasmic dinner package

Are there seats with the fantasmic dining package for wheelchairs or should we skip the package and just do regular seating for the wheelchair?

The dinner package seating is the right side sections of the amphitheater from the front row to the back row so, yes, it includes the wheelchair seating for those sections.

We could see just fine and enjoyed not having to stress about getting there hours early (you still need to come a little early, seats were filling in at a half hour to showtime). Depending on the number of folks there using WCs or ECVs you might be able to get seats more toward the center without even worrying about the dinner package - but the dinner package is a little more of a sure thing.

This sounds like another area were CM's don't always have all the info. Several folks on this board have reported WC seating in the dinner package area. But when I called to make ressies the other day, the CM said that all WC seating was in the back so there was no point in buying the package. Grrrrrrr!

All of the seating for the Fantasmic Package is in the far right hand section of the theater. The wheelchair seating for the Fantasmic Package is in the back row before the walkway, (the same row as the rest of the wheelchair seating in the non-reserved section) so about 3/4 of the way back. The view was fine for us and the package is well worth doing so as to avoid a long wait in line.

Be aware if you are pushing a manual wheelchair the slope up to the 'secret' entrance to this seating area is pretty long and steep.

People talk about waiting hours in line for the Fantasmic show, but they open the door to the Fantasmic amphitheater opens at least 1 hour before the show begins to let people get seats. If you go before they open the gates, you will be waiting in a line. If you go after the gates are open, you will be walking in and get shown where to sit as soon as you get in. So, if someone says they waited in line for 2 hours before the show, that was more their choice than a necessity. Once the gates open, it's like a slowly moving line to get seats, not waiting in line.

People with wheelchairs/ECVs are seated in the back row all across the theater, usually with one member of their party. The rest of their party sits right in front of them on benches; the last 3 rows of the whole theater are designated as 'handicapped seating" (including the dinner package area). We were there last night (we're at Disney right now) and the row in front of us included some people with canes who could not walk down more than a few steps and some people with children with GACs (Guest Assistance Cards). The CMs were still seating people with wheelchairs and ECVs up until a few minutes before the show started. We got there about 45-55 minutes before the show started and got seats pretty much dead center. The dinner package seating is the far right section (as you face the stage) of the theater and includes the handicapped seating in that section. From what we have seen, they don't seat 'general' handicapped seating in that area until just before the show when the people from the dinner package who need it should have already arrived. The CM who said that there was no point in buying the dinner package for wheelchair seating was right in a way. It's in the same area (back rows) as the general wheelchair seating, so using the dinner package may not make much difference for someone with a wheelchair. There is a quite a bit of wheelchair seating, but how people will need it on a given night is anyone's guess. We've seen the show a lot of times and have never had a problem though, arriving at least 30 minutes before (we usually shoot for 45 minutes before).

Thanks, the weather is beautiful (we did get a little wet last night, but not soaked).

I just jumped on the internet for a while. Everyone else is at the pool and I have 24 hours of internet access, so I'm planning to get caught up here.
