What's your favourite attraction moment?

And I like going on the ToT and pointing out the "hidden message" on the board near the elevators! People don't know about it and they get freaked out when I show them!

Sadly, the last time I was there (May '06), this message was gone. There was a huge debate about the reason for this going on about this on another WDW message board. Hopefully it will return! :thumbsup2

I have a few. My absolute favorite is the laughin' place inside Splash Mountain. My dad just looks so happy on this ride especially in this room and it really chokes me up thinking how fast life goes by and how he won't always be here to ride Splash Mountain with me.

I also love Buzz Lightyear as it's the first ride we ever do in WDW. It cracks me up when I look behind me and my mom has given up on hitting anything with her laser so she just spins around and makes my dad so mad because he can't hit anything. I just love taking everything in and knowing this is the first day of my vacation and there is so much more to do and see.

And my last one is at the Osbourne lights at MGM. I don't particularly care for them but I love just watching my dad walk around gazing at all of the lights with the expression of a four year old and it makes me so sad when he says things like "I wish my mom was alive to be able to see this" (she died when she was 45). And I feel like years and years from now when my parents are no longer here I can go to MGM to see the Osbourne lights (if it's still around) and think that my parents are there watching them with me.

Wow, my favorites are depressing... :guilty: ;)

ok. . . I def. missed it last time I was there (which was quite awhile ago). Could someone clue me in to the "hidden message" or point me to the discussion on the WDE message board? I love stuff like that!! :bounce:

for me it has to be the scene in POTC where you first enter the battle scene. my first vivid WDW memory and still get that feeling every time.

in AK it has to be where you first encounter the carnosaur, it gets my DW every time.

in MGM it has to be the time i missed getting into the hot seat because our session ended. i was first on the board for the next game. my DS was more excited then i was.

Don't laugh but I love the narrator on the monorail. "Too your left is the seven seas lagoon, a man made...." Or something like that. When I hear him it is my welcome to Disney moment.

I also am a PoC foot fan.

I also like that. I hear that voice and I know I have ARRIVED!!! Love it!!

All this talk about WDW rides makes me want to go back NOW!!!
:teeth:

During Wishes when the little kid sings "Wishes" for the first time and I proceed to cry through the rest of the show. :sad1:

On Splash when the vultures say "I'll show YOU a laughin' place" and then when you get to the "Zip A De Do Dah" scene.

On the Great Movie ride when you get to the Casablanca scene.

Walking off of Star Tours with the Star Wars music in the background.

After Illuminations when they play the music to "We Go On"

Everything involving :figment:

I could go on and on and on.... DH doesn't understand why I cry so much in Disney! It's because moments like these are so darn magical!!!

1. Flying over London - Peter Pan
2. Sadly, this is long gone now - the Railroad Track section - Mr. Toad
3. This only happened once due to a malfunction - getting to walk out of the Haunted Mansion - I know that could never work as a walkthrough, but it was cool to get the chance once.
4. Only because we didn't know about this in advance - the first time on Maelstrom, going down the "waterfall" backwards - honestly, was not expecting that!
5. A tie for the 3-D movies: The "bugs" running under your seat at the end of "It's tough to be a bug" and the dog "sneezing" on you in "Honey, I Shrunk the Audience".

I misspoke when I said near the elevators...I meant the directory board next to the library room...I'd hate if it was gone; it was a nice touch.

I'll spoil it...so for anyone that doesn't want to know, don't read any further!

When you see the directory board, you'll notice a few letters have fallen down into the bottom of the box. If you look down into it, the letters spelled out "evil tower u r doomed."

That's the one! (Eagerly awaits its return)

That's awesome!! How did I miss it?????

We're going in Nov and since ToT is one of our favorites, I will def. give my children a "scare" by pointing that out to them. Hopefully it's returned by then.

Mine used to be when they released the doves at the end of the Beauty and the Beast show - I cried every time! Unfortunately they don't do that anymore.

Now it's during Illuminations and Wishes.

I always get a lump in my throat during "American Adventure" at Epcot. Sometimes, even a few tears.

Wow...I thought I was the only one!
I have only seen it twice so far. I have the music on one of the park theme CD's, and so when I saw it the first time, I had goose bumps, and I had to sit a few seconds after the lights came on to compose myself.

"Please stand clear of the doors... Por favor mantenganse alejado de las puertas..."

That's when you KNOW you're at WDW.

As for actual rides, it's gotta be the stretching room sequence in the HM, it's such a perfectly eerie and creepy setup for the attraction.

Most of my favorite moments involve attractions at MK. I think it's because it reminds me of my first trip to MK in 1975 when it was the only park. I was 8 years old in 1975 and never had been so excited about taking a vacation. I was a faithful viewer of the "Wonderful World of Disney", and couldn't wait to see the castle and other rides I'd seen on the show. Anyway:

1. Not an attraction per se, but I always get misty-eyed walking down Main Street and hearing that music as soon as I enter the park.

2. POTC -- "Dead men tell no tales . . ."

3. Space Mountain -- The entire time I'm going through the queue reminds me of the first time I rode it with my mom. In 1975, there were no FPs, and the line was L-O-N-G. My DB was only 4 and didn't want to ride it, so he and my dad used their E-ticket on 20,000 Leagues. We made a big mistake, because we didn't realize that SM was a roller coaster. Dad should have come with me. Did anyone else see the "Wonderful World of Disney" episode about the opening of SM with Luci Arnaz, Lyle Waggoner and Tommy Tune? I sure couldn't tell it was a roller coaster by watching that. Anyway, my mom gets extreme motion sickness, and back then, SM only had lap belts and 2 people sat in a seat. Suffice it to say that I pretty much ruined the rest of my mom's day by making her ride that with me. We laugh about it now, though.

4. SpectroMagic -- I always get misty-eyed with that music. It's beautiful.

5. Stitch's Great Escape -- We always laugh when Stitch knocks on the door and says, "Cinderella, your prince is here." We also laugh when Gantu says, "Flohr-ree-DUH".

6. Haunted Mansion -- I love everything about that attraction, but especially the Ghost Host pointing out that "This chamber has no windows and no doors".

I'm ready to go back!!!

- The riverboat at the end of Splash Mountain.
- In Festival of the Lion King at the beggining, when the music and the animal sounds start playing.. it always gives me butterflies.
- Flying over London in Peter Pan's Flight.

... there's more but I can't think right now.

When you come out on top on Splash. I take a deep breath because I know what's next.

The "Two Brothers" Civil War sequence in the American Adventure at Epcot...Gets me every time. :thumbsup2

I always like riding the Tomorrowland Transportantion Authority (TTA). Just hearing the line "Now approaching...Mickey's Star Traders..." makes me smile.

How to narrow it down...

Flying over London in Peter Pan was probably my original favorite. As a child I thought it was the coolest thing...well still do!

Love the 'pre show' for Haunted Mansion as well as the dancing ghosts.

Love the movie montage at the end of the Great Movie Ride.

Tower of Terror is the greatest ride at the World!
