Trying to patiently wait for my August cruise on the Wonder. Its our first cruise so I'd love to hear more about the food.

Palo manager Marco brought me a bowl of whipped cream (that's it, and the real stuff not sprayed from a can) during a Palo brunch - a little birdy mentioned that I LOVE the stuff.

Other than that, it's the Sweet Onion soup in PC.

Palo is my favorite restaurant, and my favorite dish is Beef Tenderloin Palo with the Gorgonzola sauce on the side.

I will add a few more of my favorites:

From Goofy's Galley (an excellent lunch option) - Turkey with Cranberry sauce on Ciabatta bread

From Triton's - Grilled Beef Tenderloin

You can't go wrong with desserts from anywhere, but my favorites are Creme Brulee at Triton's, Double-Fudge Chocolate Cake with Caramel-Orange Chocolate Sauce at Animator's Palate, Chocolate Amaretto Indulgence at Palo (probably my favorite dessert on board), and Panna Cotta at Palo.

Thank you so much for your responses. I'm trying to lose 40 lbs for our 8/22 cruise so as weird as it sounds I'm being good by visualizing myself on the Wonder with a delicious umbrella drink and at some fab meals.;)

Out of the main restaurants we prefer Tritons, but we absolutely love Palo. You can't beat the Panna Cotta, Tiramisu, Mimosas ... ;)

Gotta have that escargot from Tritons (or Lumiere's). Oh, and yes, the Eggs Benedict for breakfast! :thumbsup2

The sea bass from Triton's and the Rack of Lamb from Palo.

Also, the ribeye at CC....the best ever outside of my house!!

Of the three main restaurants, Triton's is my favorite and like the PP, the dish is Sea Bass. The escargot was too garlicky for my tastes.

However, my favorite restaurant is Palo for dinner. I get the Tenderloin medium rare with the stack of augratin potatoes. And for dessert, it has to be Panna Cotta AND the soufflé!!

I was just on the EBTA and wanted to try the turkey and cranberry panini. Well, it had some kind of corn relish on it and no cranberries. It was still frozen/cold in the middle. It was awful! That was the only time I threw something away. Never tried it again.

Triton's was my favorite on the Wonder (we didn't go to Palo). I loved the Sea Bass and the lobster mac & cheese. Yep, I ordered them both!!!

Ask your servers for suggestions if you aren't sure, they were right on the money with all their suggestion on our cruise!

I really thought that I was truly going to enjoy Triton's the best, but because we ate there on the first night, I barely ate anything I was so sick. I had ordered the lobster mac and cheese, and it was pretty good.

As PP have said, the cranberry turkey ciabatta is really good, and I loved ordering the veggie lasagna, mac n cheese, and mickey bars from room service. As well as the cheese platter and the cake/pie of the day.

My favorite was Parrot Cay, the onion soup, the papaya cream soup was absolutely amazing, I wish I knew how to make the recipe.

the Filet at Palo with gorganzola sauce, and the chocolate souffle...yummmmmmmmmmm.

can kids order off the regular menu or is it like at WDW? My 7 year old would LOVE the lobster mac and cheese and my son would be almost 9 if we go--just wondering if they are restricted to a kids menu--they might often order off it anyway, but wondering if they can do adult menu if they prefer. Thanks!

They'll let them order off any menu:)

To be honest, there was nothing that was not good! I even remember the other couple we were with, sometimes each person got their meal and then we all ordered another 2 meals for the table to share just to sample everything that seemed good or that we would normally not get but wanted to try something new! We did not waste the food though as it was all great! YOu can also get seconds if your still hungry or just eat a bunch of appetizers if you choose.
Have a great cruise and enjoy all the great food!

Gotta put in a plug for the BLT from room service. I know it's pretty pedestrian but it's really good! My all time fav tho is the brunch at Palos - everything they have is good!
