What's your date & rate for 2006?

We are going HRH on May 18-21 for three nights $149 the first night and $169 the next two nights with APH rates. Worth it for us,even if we don't go back to Universal this year. Saved us over $230 and with the free ticket for my daughter and the meal savings it is turning out to be a good purchase(the APH).

Damo where are you from in Canada?
(My guess is somewhere in Western Canada given the Kalan Porter notation) :thumbsup2

Nope. I live just outside of Toronto. I just happen to think Kalan Porter is an up and coming star and thought he could use some free advertising! He's been in my signature since he won last year. I do have lots of relatives in Western Canada though!

new pic today damo.........
very nice.

now we will have all angles of the canadian idol.

Can you tell me when you booked this rate? We are looking to go to PBH at the end of June and would love to get a similar APH rate there. I just want to know when I can expect to "maybe" see lower APH rates for June. Thanks!

Damo,
I agree, seems like the Canadian idol contestants need all the help they can in the advertising department.

Mickinfan I booked the rate a couple of weeks ago (beginning of February). I have been fretting for months as we are going to WDW for two and half weeks and we love to end our trip at Universal but the rates just seemed out of our price range. I kept checking the APH rate and the AAA or CAA rates every couple of days on the Universal website, to see if the rates went down. I believe I book the rates early one Sunday morning if that helps.

Now only if I could get a better rate at the Swan. Hoping for a last minute discount.

Woohoo! I finally booked my next stay. I booked RPR (standard room, king bed) for April 23 to April 27 for $129 a night. This is an APH rate. I'm so thrilled, I can hardly wait! Let the countdown begin! :teeth:

Hi just booked for late Oct, RPR King suite $275+ taxes AAA and Loews discount for 4 nights. Is this any good? Should I keep checking prices to see if I can beat this or should I just chill and accept the price and look forward to our holiday? Ian

That's quite the coup Motherfletcher!!!

I belive you have to be 21 to book a room, so a child with a preferred annual pass would'nt be able to , now that I think about it may be you could book
ap rate using your childs pass..........any one else try this?

I believe that a child and adult APH are both $180 and tax so it doesn't help. I think there are two types of passes but the one with the room and meal discounts are the APH passes.

May 5 and 6 at RPR King Suite - $240 with AP.

We haven't been to Universal since our honeymoon in 1997 so we are really excited!

I have a RPH CLub room w/ 2Q beds booked for 3 nights (Aug 9-12) at an AAA rate of 263.20 per night. THe APH rate was $33 bucks higher.... any hope of it coming down as we near August?

ANd if it does - do you have to make a ressie with the APH rate and then cancel your old AAA ressie, or will they just apply the APH rate to the ressie?

We bought the buy adult tkt / get a kid ticket passes for DH and DS and 2 younger kids, but I'm holding out on my ticket. If it looks like it's worth it, I'll get the APH, if not, I guess I'll buy whatever adult ticket makes sense and go with the AAA rate.

Indeed! I thought I scored the all time best deal when I got Club Deluxe last year for $129 with the Loew's First Promo but this upgrade has me totally blown away.

Can't remember if I've posted before to this thread.... :confused3

HRH - July 25-29 - Deluxe Queen - AAA - $305.10 (Standard was $233)
AP rates were the same

Booked the PBH Deluxe club room August 7th to 10th 2006 at the AAA rate $319.00. We have AP's so hoping the rate will drop closer to our date. :hourglass
