What's with the weather in Virginia?

We had a flight scheduled on Friday and Southwest already has a weather advisory for it. DH called and said windy and 5-6 inches of snow expected tomorrow into Friday.

I look at weather.com and all it says is an inch...an inch!

Last Blizzard--we had hubby cancel his flight 24 hours before b/c we weren't sure if he'd be able to shovel out his driveway. His flight was still active. (though it was later cancelled).

This is not a blizzard--but 48 hours ahead of time, we are strongly advised to change our flight.

This "snow" stuff confuses this Floridian.

The winds are supposed to be hellacious here tomorrow and Friday. I imagine that has also put a damper on travel. It's like a snow hurricane coming.

Here in Va we are known for the freaky weather. but I live in Southeastern Va and I am done with the snow, sleet. We usually don't get that here.
