There are some Christians out there "spreading the news" in a way that is totally counterproductive. That isn't a good thing from a Christian standpoint, or a non-Christian standpoint.

Exactly the reason I don't open my door to the JH's anymore even when it's painfully obvious that I'm home!

But one can not forget all of the charities that are out there that are Christian orginazations going and acting like him. StarveHunger is a program my church joined up with to help raise money to feed children in Africa. Since the program started, they have raised nearly 100,000,000 and possibly are related to the reduced the death rates of 40000 to 29000 a day.

I could go into a long list of things just what my church is done. Just because someone says they are Christian, does not necessarily mean they are. But as I do not know their heart, I will let God decide.

And once again in the past couple of pages, I see imaginary friend again.

IMO, the bottom line is this, the skywriter has a right to his "free speech" method as long as he is not breaking the no-fly zone laws, right? If you have been on this thread bashing the Christians for saying what they believe in this ok I'll say it "flamboyant" manner then you should also be against every political activist that claims to be guided by any sort of spiritual principles be they Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, or whatever. The great thing about our country and the separation of church and state is that there is no state church(think of the Church of England for example). We can practice whatever religion we want and tell whoever we want and if what you really want is for the Christians to shut up then you better shut up, too, because you can't tell them not to say what they think and say what you think at the same time. This is a DEMOCRACY and everyone gets equal time and an equal voice and the day that you stand up and say that this group or that shouldn't be allowed to say what they think is the day this democracy is torn down and you spit on the graves of every man and woman who got us this far. Now, who wants to argue with this?

That's the part (the bolded) that really gripes me.
I'm really against those people.

We all have more important things to worry about right? Just think of this all you folks that are annoyed with the skywriter. At least you're in/have been in the WDW and had a great time, tomorrow I was supposed to be leaving for my first trip there in 20 yrs and my BFF and traveling companion has lung cancer and is now way to sick for us to go. Life could be alot worse. Lets just try to get along.

I went to Epcot this afternoon, and come back and this thread now has alot more pages. I'm only up to page 38. All this talk about restaurants and religion on pages 37 and 38 made me think of what a friend once said,

Man, I'm sorry to hear about your friend havin' lung cancer, that's a bad one; I just lost a friend to that myself. I don't want to start on all the folks I've lost. Anyway, back to the skywriter, the guy is invasive coz it is in the sky. If God made the sky and I agree it's one of the beauties of our world, leave the dang sky alone! Quit pollutin' it with the smoke and fuel emissions and for me, the thought. I'd love to get along and usually I do with most folks but religious zealots are just spreadin' bad ju-ju.

Usually they are orginizations with many people, so technically, it is as anonymous as you want it to be. Of course, I can't really see WorldVision (StarveHunger creators) doing what it does in private like that.

Well, seems to me the beneficiary wouldn't have a "face", so to speak, to have to feel beholden to and the benefactor can have the satisfaction of giving just for the sake of giving, without having to be acknowledged for it.
