My DD was running out of the house last summer when she got to the door and tried to push it open, but missed the handle, and put her hand and arm through the windo in the door. This was an original door to our house circa 1950, so the window was regular plate glass. The blood was everywhere, she had multiple cuts on her hand and arm, adn a couple on her forhead, where her momentum had carried her into the broken window.
We wrapped it up, called 911, they put some bandage on it, and we took her to the hospital. She got a lot of stitches on her hand, a couple of spots on her arm, and a butterfly for her head.
She has a nasty scar left on her hand, but there was no tendon or muscle damage; and some small scars on her arms and head. Unfortunately, she is fairly darked skinned, and the scars really show up.

Honestly if I had not come back I would NOT have my son. I guarantee it. He never would have even checked the pool. As he said there is no way he would have been up there. 3 days later at my sons communion party. With approximatly 30 children in the house/yard ( Late October mind you) He opened all the gates and went in the house. KIDS EVERYWHERE!!! I heard a splash and ran out. Needless to say. We are getting a divorce, And every freaking pool lock has been changed. and I have the only key.
