I read all these posts again, some of which touched me very very much.
Our last trip to Disney (May 2000) was exceptional).
First, through these boards, my family and I had made arrangements to go on an Illuminations cruise with another family from S. Carolina...these folks were wonderful(unfortunately lost contact with them...maybe they still post here??)
When we finally met each other, they had brought my kids each a goodie bag from their home state, which was so cool. Meeting folks from other parts of the country is cool enough, but for someone to be so generous was beyond our expectations.
(Hopefully, they still read the boards, and if they do...contact us!!
The few things that may help..we went on the cruise, then after we got the kids ice cream at the boardwalk...later in the trip, we came across each other in AK..you had just ridden one of the safari's I believe, and we were heading to one.You have(at the time)a son and a daughter, as do we...and I have a missing tooth from a biking accident...were from Mass.)
OK..enough of that..LOL
Well, during this trip, even though we know better, we got to the parade route very late....so late that there was no way we would see Spectro

I then told the kids, well, maybe next trip, when suddenly a voice comes from the crowd, asking if it would be ok for my children to sit with this person...she was an elderly woman, and she said that she forgot to bring any grandchildren with her to enjoy the parade...so my daughter and son got to sit at curbside!!
What made this event even more special, is that as the parade rolled past, one of the "ugy" stepsisters saw my daughters "its my birthday" button, and started teasing my daughter, saying it was her(the stepsisters) birthday...that my daughter wasnt allowed to have a birthday that day, she would have to pick another day ...she really made a spectacle out of it..LOL...my daughter who had turned 5, just told her off..LOL..it was very cute.
Well, this was also e-ride nite...so off we headed into the night.
When we finally made our way to Space Mtn. (my daughters fav) we rode as usual, and when we got to the end, the Cm saw the button...asked my daughter if she would like to ride again, and of course my daughter said yes...the Cm brought us around this passageway, and took us to the front of the line!He then announced that it was my daughters birthday, and had everyone there applaud and cheer for her!It really made her b-day special, and she still talks about it to this day!!(Yes, we're gonna celebrate it all over again..she cant wait, as well as her other sister, who is celebrating her 5th this year!!!)
