Whats the NICEST thing that has happened to you at WDW???

We were riding Space Mountain on an E-night and my son who was then 8 was in the front seat. As the CM checked his seat restraint, he asked him his name. Then as we were going up the hill for the launch of the ride we heard over the loudspeaker, "Attention Captain James, prepare for lift off". None of us could believe it and it made our night.

I had a ball last week at MK during our group's ride just before leaving MK on Jungle Cruise. It was the first time we did JC that week (last trip was 2003). We had a great guide, she told the usual jokes but added some I had not heard. Anyway, I was in a great mood, having a great time, so without trying, I proceeded to "get" and actually laugh out loud at all the jokes. She even said I was the only one that had ever gotten one of the jokes. She kept thanking me and offered to take me on her cruises the rest of the day.
Everyone gave me a round of applause at the end. It was great fun, my familly enjoyed giving me a hard time afterwards.

My family rode on the Kali River Rapids on valentine's day. I put my purse on a string in the compartment in the middle along with our backpack in the other section. We forgot my purse! It had our room keys, credit card, debit card, cash, meal vouchers, not to mention my drivers license I needed for our flight back! A super nice man turned it in! We got so lucky! I hugged him & said he saved our vacation!

We ate at Crystal Palace in MK on Tuesday and my son was not in a good mood. He wanted to lay on the bench. A very sweet family had a son that played w/ my son & helped the day go much better! Thanks Jackson! We ran into them later in the day! That was pretty neat...saved our lunch for sure!

Mousekeeping did a great job decorating my son's room for his birthday. I left a nice tip and they put a banner up, balloons, arranged the gifts I brought, made washcloth animals! It was very sweet!

This last weekend we decided to go to my 4yo DD's favorite ride Winnie the Pooh before the park closed. We were the last people on the platform and it broke down. They apologized, and as we walked away. My DD started to cry. Next thing I know, the CM from the Pooh ride called for us to wait. She caught up with us and told asked if we would like to ride the teacups. We said sure! DD had the biggest smile on her face. They opened the ride back up and we rode. DD went up to the CM and gave her a big hug and said thank you after. It was very touching, and I was especially proud for having such a polite little girl :)

Shortly before the above incident, DD also had some serious one on one time with Mary Poppins. It was awesome.

It was a magical night! :)

I have a few from our Honeymoon this past October. Also, we wore the Bride and Groom ears.

When we arrived there was a Wedding balloon in our room with an autographed picture of Belle and the Beast.

Walking into Tomorrowland, we were given two Fast Pass to Space Mt. from a couple who were leaving and couldn't use them.

Got a free desert in Canada at Le Cellar.

Plus, because of the ears, we got tons of "Conrgrats" from CM's and guests. One little girl asked my wife if she was a princess!princess:

Last October a very honest person turned in my two year olds stuffed Mickey and stuffed Pluto to lost and found.

The bag that they had been in fell out of the stroller while we had been in line for Fantasmic. At least this was the last place we seen the bag. I didn't notice till after the show. I went to get them for him and the bag was gone. My husband and In-Laws all said no one would turn them in and we would just buy two more. I said I was going to chek anyhow. We waited in line for a while. I guess a lot of folks lose things at Disney World. When we got to the front CM gave me the feeling that he didn't think it would have been turned in and that he didn't see it there. He was very nice and was still looking as I was saying that it was ok and then He found it!

Needless to say we had all been surprised that some one took the time to turn the bag in. Tere are nice honest folks out there after all! It made my day! And My 2 year old was very happy! :earboy2:

last year (2004) in february it was our last night so we went to Epcot..it was hissing it down and it was cold.. after the wonderful fireworks the man standing next to us turned to his girlfreind and asked her to marry him...it was very emotional and something i will always remember..by the way she said yes..... :love2:

We had breakfast at Norway with the Princesses (SO worth it!) and we're getting on the monorail for the Magic Kingdom. We ask for the front for 3 year old Lauren. We have to wait for the next one – no problem. While we’re waiting, 14 year old Meg is taking a couple of shots with her video camera. The CM on the station pulls Meg over and takes her into areas of the station that the rest of us can’t get to. He has her film the monorail coming in, Spaceship Earth with NOTHING in the way, it was very cool! He said he
used to come here when he was a kid and he always took home videos, too. It made Meg’s day! And the footage she got is fantastic!

Hi! LONG time lurker, first time poster. This thread is great! DH, DS10 and I just returned from a Mardi Gras escape trip and my DS birthday was while we were there. It was truly a magical day. CMs were great and we did things we normally don't take the time for like riding in the front of the monorail and waiting for front seats on roller coasters. The night of DS birthday was an EMH night for Epcot and we headed into the park around 8:30 to get his passport stamped and signed with a Happy Birthday message in each language. Then we realized the countries closed at 9 :scared1: !!!!! So we started in Canada and literally ran around the world getting his stamps! When we got to Mexico for his last stamp we went to the jewelry store(?) to ask where to get his stamp. They told us the stamping post had already closed up but they offered to sign his book for him anyway. I was a bit bummed because I had wanted him to get the little prize they get for completing all of the countries but the girl in the shop told me it was just a picture and some candy so I wasn't too disappointed. As we were leaving the indoor portion of Mexico the girl from the shop caught up with us and told us that they felt bad about DS not getting his prize on his birthday so they gave him a beautiful little crystal dog from their shop!! I just thought it was the nicest gesture! Plus, we rode TT once, MS 3 times and just before midnight Mickey and Goofy showed up at MS and DS had them all to himself! We got great pics and they made a big fuss over his birthday and Mickey signed his passport too! Truly a perfect ending to a great trip!!

several years ago when my son was very young, we were at disney for a short vacation. My son had asthma and needed nebulizer treatments several times daily. We broke his only nebulizer tube attachment late one evening and he was having an attack. A CM at Allstar sports who was off work at 11PM that night overheard our situation and volunteered to go to the drug store and bring us back the supplies we needed. it took 45 minutes and the CM would not let us even pay for the supplies nor the trouble to go get them. We will vacation at the world every year partly because of this. CM.

it was a couple of years ago and i was staying onsite at the tree house villas at disney institute, we were waiting for a pcik up to take us to the lobby so we could check out. I had called an hour before and was told a cm would be by to pick us up so an hour passes mears is waiting and still no pick up, i called the front desk again, was told the last person went on lunch and did not tell the next person, blah blah blah, i was livid i had a plane to catch not into excuses at this point, i was using cash to pay my bill my card only had about 400 left avail credit and my bill was about 800. i get to the lobby and it was packed, long lines, long waits, so i left, i figured they would charge the 400.00 and bill me for the rest, well a week later i got a phone call from someone letting me know i had not paid my bill, by this time i paid the cc and called to tell them they could just charge it, before i did i told them how i had been waiting almost missed my plane, etc, etc, the person told me they would call me back, (there was so much more that happened but i did not want to type it all out but it was a bad very bad experience, i was glad i took names)

anyway to make a long story short i never got a call back but i got a letter in the mail from disney apologizing for the experience and letting me know they credited my entire bill, i was really amazed, i was prepared to pay and i never expected anything in return i was just making them aware of my experience, this is when i knew disney was committed to customer service.

For my 8th birthday, we were staying at the Polynesian. When we arrived, I found a birthday card and some chocolate on the bed. It was signed from the CM's at the Polynesian. I still have the card to this day (obviously I don't have the chocolate)!

We made a PS for Rose and Crown, for Illuminations, but did not get a patio table. It was the first time we had tried to do this, and our first trip as a family w/ kids. I was extremely disapointed (although I knew it was a possibility)

We had finished our meal, and were getting ready to leave. We wanted dessert, but did not have time to eat dessert, and go out to find a place to try to watch Illuminations, and my DH told the waitress that, when she came to the table. She left, but instead of bringing the check, she informed us that a table on the patio had just opened up, and we could have it, if we wanted to eat dessert out there. We had the greatest time. :cloud9: Needless to say, she got a great tip.

On our last trip we had two equally nice things happen The first was at Epcot. We had arranged to call home at an exact time. When we were ready to make the call, we realized that the cel phone was in the car. A lady overheard us and let us borrow her cel phone. She said she had unlimited calling and that our call would not cost her extra. How nice was that? We made the call, thanked her and then asked if we could have a picture with her for our photo album. She agreed. Now when people are looking at the album from last year's trip, we refer to her as the "cel phone lady".

The other nice thing was a cast member. We were at Fantasmic. You know those gadgets that you buy and they light up and spin around? You have to program them. My 11 year old grandson could not fiqure it out. He asked the saleman who sold it to him, if he could help, and he did. I thought that was very nice. My grandson was beaming and enjoyed playing with his souvenir, the rest of the trip.
