What's the most change you've ever cashed in?

The most was just shy of $800 but I seldom use cash so change is hard to come by for me. However I roll and deposit from DH's sock drawer - deposit into MY account though, LOL!

I work at a grocery store and I am always taking my dollar bills and getting quarters back for them to put in my change jar. I have been doing that for over a year so who knows how much I will for Disney in August but I will keep you posted....

$962 and some change.. This was from about 2 years of saving.... I do not use change when I pay cash for things.... If my purchase is $19.58 I give $20.00 and I put the change in one of my change jugs.... The only change I use are quarters for parking meters. I actually get really giddy if I have a "big change" day... My husband thinks I'm crazy, but he doesn't think I'm crazy when I cash it in.... I hope to beat $962 this year!

Last year right before my trip to WDW, I cashed in almost $1200! That was our spending money and food money for the week. However, this year I decided to put whatever change and small bills I have into my savings account monthly in order to gain a little interest on it. I put in close to $100 a month in change and small bills (1's and sometimes 5's).

Best I ever did was just over $100 on random accumulated change.

Remember the great Y2K scare? One of the predictions was that the world economy would tank and you'd need quarters and small bills to buy groceries. I didn't go out and buy a shelter in the woods, but I DID seriously accumulate quarters and singles the last few months of 1999. I laughed and told the family "Mom is going to save you with quarters!" Come Feb 2000 I hauled the stash to the bank and got a couple hundred bucks.
