Whats the most annoying thing your cat does?

my kitty craves attention when we are sleeping. She assualts my family with her licking our heads. She bats at them too to wake us up!!!! I am a heavy sleeper but hubby and son are not and if they weren't sleep deprrived it would be cute. She eventually finds a spot by my legs and waits till morning to do it all again (wake us up in the morning). I do have to say before she "settles in" she will lay by their heads too. And of course all day she is as sleepy as any baby, hubby has said he should wake her up cause if he had to stay up all night then she should too!!!! lol

My older cat Tiffany isn't very friendly at all. She loves me and my daughter, but isn't really fond of anyone else. We got a new kitten this past summer and when she heard the kitten purr, it really got her attention. I think she thought it was an anomaly or something. :lmao: We love her nonetheless though.

Lilly - Our new kitty is a doll. She's the most affectionate creature I've ever seen in my entire life. She's truly the cat my daughter always said she wanted. Bad thing is, she wants to cuddle with you ALL the time. She wants held to go to sleep, she wants to lay on your head in bed, etc.... She wakes up and bites your nose and/or chin for more affection and her breath STINKS to high Heaven. The 2nd she realizes you're going to feed her, she starts meowing and will NOT stop till you put the food down for her to eat. Of course, we purposely hold the food and make her sing for her supper because it's so dang cute.

We don't keep our toilet paper in a toilet paper holder thingy. That's the appeal for cats to do the unwinding thing. If it's just sitting there, they have no interest in it at all (at least mine never have).

As for vomiting on carpet instead of tile/wood flooring, etc, that's our golden retriever. We too have hardwood floors in the living room and have a nice area rug. The dog MUST vomit on the rug every single time. :confused3

My cat is 18, and I'm so happy to have her after last week's scare that I'll put up with pretty much anything. She had a kitty stroke, but made an amazing recovery and you'd never know anything had happened by looking at her now. But she did use up one of her nine lives. I think she's wasted three of them this year.....:sad2:

The most annoying is her meowing, but it's so much MORE than meowing. It's more like HOWLING. She is attached to me like white on rice and when she wants me, she wants me NOW. She will howl/yowl and she can hold a note for an incredibly long time. I call her Kitty Streisand. It's like a long, almost neverending scream that does briefly end....only to be followed by another and another. She was always a complainer and the older she gets, the more she complains.....Kind of like humans. :rotfl2:

Yes, she barfs on the carpet. It probably wouldn't be so bad, but I had trained the cat we had before (she just passed away a few years ago) to barf only on the tile. :thumbsup2 I swear, that cat was a genius. When she was a baby and I heard a hairball coming, I'd pick her up and rush to get her on the tile. Soon, she learned that "barfing" meant "I need to run to the tile." Brainiac of a cat! Our present kitty is beautiful, but not chock full of brains. She just barfs wherever....And we were spoiled to the tile-only barfer.

She's a turd dropper. That is exactly what it sounds like. Poor kitty is constipated a lot and lives on Miralax. Sometimes, she THINKS she is done pooping, because the poop is all the way "out." But it has not yet "disconnected," so to speak. So she walks out of the cat litter box and at some point, gravity will kick in and the turd will drop off in some random place. :lmao: Luckily, they are usually fairly dry, due to the constipation. We keep LOTS of Lysol on hand. Lots.

Still, I hope Kitty hangs around for a long, long time.

Of my four cats only two have odd habits. Jasmine, my Himalayan, will sit on the window sill and lick the mini blinds. I just had to put up two new sets because she licked them so many times they broke. She also sits in the hall and cries really loud for attention. Hailey loves shoes. She loves to stick her front paws in them and lay there. Any shoe will do. Sneakers, pumps, sandals, she doesn't care. She pushes my husbands slippers all over the floor like a sled. They are both goobers.

LIVING......joking, just joking....I cannot keep track of my kids let alone my cat, sometimes I just wish I had less pet responsibilities......we recovered a kitten from the pound and we were the victim of...."You have alot of land, care to take in our dog because we are moving into an appartment?" line. That was before we had children....now we have children and sometimes the cat isn't that patient with the kids....I would suppose that is a different thread.......honey, have you seen the antifreeze?...joking again...just joking!!

I forgot to say she lovessssssssssss those black hair rubber bands. They have to be the thick ones and they have to be black, they can't be the thin ones and they can't be purple or whatever. And she will throw them in the air and have this DEEEP meow while she is playing. she goes and gets them from the bath or bedroom, and if I don't get them in time she breaks them. Some times I have to be honest we play with her and throw them and she runs to get it. But to be honest when she starts meowing in the different way we know she is playing the the rubber bands and we have to retrieve them (usually).

He never ever shuts up unless he is outside or sleeping. He meows constantly. Really, I don't like him. But DH loves him, he was a rescue cat and I won't send him back.

It's gotta be their habit of up-ending their water bowl sometime during the night. This bowl is on a washcloth, which is on a plastic placemat, which is on carpet.

That, and Simba usually drinks by daintily putting a paw into the water & licking the water off his paw.

This also drives me nuts! The water is always spilled or really dirty no matter how often I change it. I think they swim overnight.

Our two cats get fed when we get out of bed, so the one-year old finds noisy things to knock around and play with on the bedroom floor and the headboard. Then he looks at you all innocent but he knows darn well he's being annoying and waking us up. But how can you resist this face?

Cordelia loves paper. She'll lick, hunt it, chew it, shred it... It was lots of fun when DH left his students term papers out. :rotfl2:

She also loves to scratch on our walls. Our brand new walls. Yes, she has scratching posts all over the house. She'll scratch the wall next to them. Sigh.

I'm pregnant. She loves to lay on my stomach.

But she's a wonderful cat and puts up with all of my nonsense... for example: Here is last years Christmas Card

lol everyone's posts are hilarious. My cat is 17 and recently just started acting like a spring chicken again. He shreds paper and plastic constantly. I could be in the deepest sleep but as soon as he starts shredding paper I'm wide awake! Funniest thing ever is when he visits the litter box and comes sprinting out like his tail is on fire. I always clap my hands and he runs faster! :rotfl2:

Haha we call this the "poop scoot" in my house

Our male cat loves to lick us, particularly in the morning when the hubs has stubble on his chin. Apparently, that's rather uncomfortable for DH. Chernyy also loves to lay on my chest, which right now is no good because pressure on my tummy is painful and makes me sick. He also likes to join me in my bath, which gets cat hair all over and when he jumps out he makes huge puddles. Both cats like to chew cords. That's an expensive and dangerous bad habit. Koshka likes to chew up toilet paper and paper towels. She just noms them right down.

That being said, we love our kitties and wouldn't give them up for the world.

Chernyy is the black cat, Koshka is the torti!

One of my cats bathes himself at least 12 hours a day. If he's not sleeping, he's bathing. He likes to bathe right next to my head all hours of the night and he is NOT a quiet bather. Arghhhh!!!!

He does all the usual annoying cat things as well, but this one bothers me the most.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with annoying kitties. :goodvibes

I have two, Skeeter and Aikman (yeah as in Troy Aikman.. that's what I get for letting DFi name a pet :rolleyes1)

Aikman refuses to bury his poop. He scratches on the side of the litter box, the wall, the floor.. just won't scratch the litter. Thankfully, Skeeter is just as annoyed by it as I am, and he goes in there and buries it after Aikman leaves.

I get up every day at 8am for class. On the weekends, Aikman likes to be my alarm clock.. scratches on the bedroom door until we wake up. :sad2: He apparently hasn't figured out that there's no school on weekends.

When I DO get to sleep in, Zac (DFiance) lets the cats in the room around 11am. Skeeter makes a running leap from the bedroom door to my stomach. Nothing like a 15lb cat jumping on your belly to wake you up.

They both knock all the ornaments off our Christmas tree.

They love to play with plastic bags and scraps of miscellaneous paper we have lying around, or anything free.. but if we actually pay for a toy, they won't go near it.

I can't use a can opener without both of them cryyyying and screeeaming. They think that every time I use a can opener, I'm opening them a can of tuna.

We have a fake tree in our living room with white christmas lights on it, and it's in this big nice red pot, and filled with small, black, polished rocks. They both just loooove to dig out the rocks and play with them... until they wind up under my couch. I probably have 50 little rocks stuck under my couch right now.

Here's Aikman:

Fat Louie: loves to sleep on my head. If I am on one side, he is on top of my head; if I roll to the other side, he nuzzles up under my chin. If I am on my back, he has to be on my stomach. The problem is that he then must purr loudly or scratch me with his claws. It really is annoying.

Mystic: If she sleeps inside, at 4 am she will want to be let out. She goes to our blinds, and bangs them against the windows. She also knows that if that doesn't get us up, she can open and close the squeaky closet door, or bang against the mirror on the dresser. One of these will accomplish her goal.

Oreo: Has no annoying habits. He is the perfect pet.

OMG, mine does the same thing! I'm currently using heavy glass casserole dish that she can't tip over.

Plays in her water bowl & gets water all over the floor.
Then gets in her littler box, and tracks litter thru the water puddle.
Making a mud puddle. She does this MUCH to often for my liking.
