I waited 1.5 hours for TOT in 1996. This was before FPs so you either waited, or you didn't ride. :)

Our family has a policy about not waiting for rides if the wait is more than 40-45 minutes. We feel the time is wasted when there are other things we can go on. Often we will come back through later in the day and the same line is much shorter. The longest waits we have ever made was this past Christmas at Spaceship Earth (it was only open for 5-6 hours that day) which was 50 minutes and Tower of Terror was a 60 minute wait (we already used fastpasses for Lights Motor Action so we waited for TOT).

:thumbsup2

Before fastpass, longest line was probably 90 minutes for Splash Mountain. After fastpass, I won't wait longer than 20 minutes.

We don't wait in lines longer than 30 min, and we visit mid summer. We have a good touring plan an utilize fastpass.

That said...... I have waited in line for 2 hours for........PETER PAN! Mommy puleeze puleeeze can we go on Peter Pan one more time??? I'm such a sucker!

The longest ever would be Test Track back when it opened in 1999. Got to the park during early opening, got right in line and then waited around two hours before getting on the ride. Since Fastpass, the longest waits I can think of are around 40 minutes.

I waited just over 2 hours for one of the water slides. I can't even remember the name of the slide or which waterpark it was in. The slide was the one where you drop pretty much straight down about 3 stories and a gush of water at the bottom stops you. It was a quick thrill, but the force of the water at the bottom was kind of painful.

The massive wedgie was SO not worth the 2 hour wait :confused3 :sad2:

We are definitely all spoiled since the advent of FastPass. Last time we were there, my wife (who's first trip to WDW was in 2003) refused to wait in line for Space Mountain for 35 minutes.

I can remember when I was a kid, we waited in line for Space Mountain for a good hour and a half, and when we finally got out of the tunnel and into the building, they had to shut the ride down because of a problem on the track. We waited for another 1/2 an hour (while they turned on the lights in the buildling--yes, I've seen Space Mountain NAKED!) before they eventually told us they had to close down the ride for the night until they could fix it. Talk about a letdown.

About 5 years ago, we waited about and 1 1/2 hours for Peter Pan. Although I love this ride, I will never wait that long for it again. I think 1 hour would be my family's limit.

Our range was about 90 mins for Soarin'. Actually both times we've gone on it. The line just never seems to move and with all the wait and anticipation, the actual experience of the ride hardly seems worth it. But we do it every time it seems.

proabably around 90 minutes....splash mountain the summer it opened. All I remember is that all the que area was used and the line just keep going and going and going and........ :lmao:

I remember that, we must of been in the SAME line! I think that was the LAST time I stood in a long line, now if its over 20 min, forgetaboutit.;)

I don't wait for lines longer than 20 unless there has been a ride breakdown.

The last time we were there (Dec. '07), the longest wait we had was about 60 minutes for RRC. Sadly, the stand-by wait time was marked at 15 minutes and the line didn't appear long at all (it started half way up the ramp). But...OH MY GOSH, it took FOR-E-VER! We moved about 5 feet every ten or so minutes. It was horrible. Once we got off that, we went over to ToT and walked right on - 5 times! :confused3

Way back in the day pre-FP time... 315 minutes.

I've merged these two identical threads.

Thanks

Knox

We probably waited in some 40-60 minute lines and a long time for the Matterhorn at DLR, but now we never wait more than 20 minutes. We're around 40 trips deep to Disney and we always know we'll be back. There are too many fun/entertaining/relaxing things to do at WDW to wait in attraction lines for very long.:earsboy:

DH and I stood in line for Soarin the year that it opened for close to 2 hours. Never again.
