Prior to Soarin we never waited more than 45 minutes (BTMRR) but for Soarin we waited just about 2 hours the second time we rode. This year we're heading there first thing in the am to ride and then grab fast passes for a later ride.

The longest we've ever waited is 2+hrs for Kali River Rapids. This was way back when they first started the fastpass system, and the castmember, who was also new, didn't quite understand how it worked, so he waited until he let in however many fastpass people before the standby people even when there was no one in the fastpass line and then let in only so many standby people. There was seriously no one coming in the fastpass line for 15 min. and he still wouldn't let any standby people through. We only figured out what the problem was when we got to the spot where the two lines merge and we saw one of the senior cast members explaining the fastpass system to him. I kinda felt bad for him. We've never waited standby for Kali since then, even though this would probably never happen again.

ACK ...I would hate to wait that long for that ride. It was over before I even realized it had started.

I did have a similiar experience w/ fastpass issues...just this December too. We got in standby for RnR. The wait time said it was 20 minutes and the line started on the ramp - so no big deal, right? WRONG! We waited for nearly 75 minutes to get on. We literally moved about 5' every 10-15 minutes. They just let all the fastpass people go through w/o moving the standby line. I thought I was going to grow old and die in that line...along w/ everyone else who was waiting along side of us. It was truly awful.

fantasmic opening week... i think we were in line for 3+ hours and the line wrapped all through and around beauty and the beast

The next time we had to wait just as long was waiting for a bus from Epcot to our resort. We got to the line at 10:00 PM (a bus was just pulling away, so we were the first in line for the next bus). No bus ever came until about 1 1/2 hours later! We ended up catching a cold that night (and luckily it was the last day of our vacation). Oh and when the bus came it said it was picking up for another resort (not ours). I asked the driver "what about us? We've been waiting since 10pm" his answer to me was "ain't my problem." I lost it and definitely did NOT feel the Disney magic at that time! about 10 minutes later a bus for our resort showed up.

Well we had a similar experience in April. We were leaving Epcot (or maybe it was MK) around 11 or later. Everyone was clearing out, and we waited and waited and waited some more for our bus back to FQ. All other resorts had shuttles that came and went, some maybe twice. Finally after about an hour and a half, the bus finally came, and a whole bunch of people had to cram on it for fear that there wouldn't be another. I would think Disney would have this schedule down alot better after all these years.

2 1/2 hours for Splash Mountain on July 4th. (Pre Fast Pass Days) There was also a fist fight on Main Street during the afternoon parade. The "not watching, walking" area on the sidewalk was barely big enough for 1 person, and traffic was trying to move both ways. Well 2 guys going the opposite way both decided that they were not going to stop. It was very scary!!!

HA! That's hilarious, in a weird kind of way. We saw a family have a melt-down in front of Peter Pan one hot afternoon. Son-in-law and Father-in-law (we guessed) swinging it out with the kids crying and the ladies screaming. Security got them out of there pretty quick. Listen folks: you gotta have a plan when you go to the parks on hot busy days....

2 hours for Tower of Terror... during our highschool band trip (we marched in the MK)... was a freshman with a group of upperclassmen, and while i'd been to WDW multiple times and knew the fast/er ways to do things, i was outvoted lol

about 2 hours for RoR. It wasn't too bad and the best part was we won lanyards just before boarding the rollercoaster! It was last year the Saturday before Easter.

I've waited about an hour to see the Characters at Epcot Caracter Spot shortly after if opened. I've never waited over 30 minutes for a ride, and I travel at New Years Eve almost every year.
I'd rather wait 60+ for a few moments with a character then 30+ minutes for a 2 minutes long ride.
