We did online check-in in Dec for BWV. For some reason my credit card info kept erasing itself. Every time I went into
MDE I was prompted to enter my CC, so I did each time, and even switched to a different card to see if that would help. I hoped it was fixed. I kept watching for a text during our drive but never got one. We got to BW and the CM at the front desk had a hard time getting our MB to work and said something was wrong with the computers. She was really nice, but it was close to 10:00 pm and DD6 was exhausted. The CM finally just gave us the two working MB and brought up the third one a bit later after she got it to work. She was great.
The next day we ate at Garden Grill. I tried to charge our meal to the room, but the CM said that our MB didn't have charging privileges. I just charged it to my CC that I always carry into the parks for these instances. We stopped at the Guest Relations window at the IG (because DH insisted we stop there) and asked about it. The CM there called the BW and found out that we did not have a CC attached to our account. He said that he could set it up for us there, but it would be a lot easier if we could go to the BW front desk. He was very nice and apologetic. So, we went back to the BW and got it taken care of after a few minutes at the desk. After that everything worked fine.
So, in my experience in Dec, it didn't work very well. I have used online check-in in the past without all these problems, but I've never gotten the text to skip the front desk. I'll do online check-in for my future stays, and hopefully won't have the problems again.
