Whats that smell

Anyone noticed the totally obnoxious smell around the middle of Epcot. Especially strong around the Coca Cola Ice Station Cool location. Sewage???? It is horrible. It is around that area but permeates all over the middle of Epcot. I have noticed this for years. In fact, in Mousegear it was so strong the last couple of trips that we had a hard time shopping there. Anyone else noticed this??

Sorry, can't think of a time I've noticed a bad smell in that area.

Ugh...Mousegear always has the WORST smell! It smells like sewage, or old meat, or something gross like that! I pointed it out to my dad, who said that perhaps it was the gear oil that has been used for so many years to run those mechanisms in the ceiling. Makes sense for Mousegear, but it doesn't explain the rest of the area (which I have noticed, too). Must be a large sewer somewhere in that area by that character meet and greet.

We always notice it when we exit the bacl of Club Cool and make a right into the building right there. I didn't notice it on our last trip, but previous trips it has been really bad. We have even commented to CM about it.

Sometimes it is worse than others. Club cool has seemingly had the smell longer than anywhere else. Last Spring, Mousegears had it so bad it was hard to stay in there. Mousegears and the area around club cool is usually where the sewage smell lingers. I just wanted to know if anyone else smelled it and if anyone knows where it comes from.

That area is next to that huge fountain. Is it possible that it is the smell of the water in there? The water in Florida seems to be full of sulphur which has an awful odour!

Seriously though, I haven't personally experienced this smell, but I do recall a thread awhile back referring to the sewer smell in that area. I think it is from the sewer.

Mousegears...I always smell it in Mousegears.

But we still shop there.

I've never noticed a smell outside the Coca Cola station, but in Mousegears it can smell... raunchy. Almost stale, or musty.

Every time we go (once a year for the past 10 years) we experience the smell around Mousegears. Not sure how people can't smell that horrible smell. Like others have said it is sometimes to the point where we can't shop in Mousegears because of the smell.
