How would you rate these 3 options as most magical and why?

1. California Grill for supper and watching Wishes from the outdoor landing on that floor
or
2. Cinderella's Castle for supper and step outside just in time for Wishes
or
3. Birthday Cruise departing from WL and having bday cake while watching Wishes witht he music piped in

Are you kidding me?? ----Option 3, the birthday cruise, hands down!!!! (I wish you would come plan my next birthday)

As an adult, I'd also go for the cruise, but if I were a kid, I might like the castle best!

If you pick Option #2, "stepping outside the castle" might be difficult at that time. There is no outside viewing area on the dining level of the castle so you would have to exit the castle completely. I believe that some of the area directly around the castle is not accessible during Wishes --not sure about that though. One time we were caught in Fantasyland during the fireworks and although you really get the noise, looking directly upwards isn't always the best view.

You all made good points, but the one about the cruise and kids really made me think- do you think my girls (8&4)would enjoy the cruise?

And for that matter-the Cali Grill may not be very much of a thrill either!

It's a bday last day at Disney surprise!

I really value the opinions of all my Dis family! Thanks for helping me...

We have eaten at castle for breakfast before, but not supper...never been on cruise or Cali Grill!

They do block off some area around the castle during Wishes. My 5yo DD and I were trying to make a quick exit during wishes and had to detour around the castle because it was roped off with CMs standing guard to make sure nobody could sneak through.

Regarding Cali Grill, the best part of our dinner here was out on the observation deck. Dinner itself was just so-so, and the atmosphere wasn't terrifically kid-friendly. So I give dinner at Cali Grill an un-magical vote, but the observation deck two magic thumbs up. (Does this post make your decision even less clear?)

Never did 1 or 2 but did #3 for DD and it was MAGICAL!!!!!

Don't forget to get the birthday button at Guest Relations at the park you are visiting on that day. Your princess will get Birthday Wishes all day long!!!!
