I'd ignore it. I'm betting your increased day rate is worth more than your parking cost, so if you look into it, you'll probably lose money.

I'd just plan that future asks may not actually reimburse parking, and plan my parking costs appropriately.

Edit to Add: And I see I was right. Yeah, now I'm 100% committed to ignore it. Why risk losing money? You got more - be happy with that.

Right but if the parking is included in his day rate he’s going to have to pay taxes on that amount. It should be separated.
Even if I pay taxes on the parking reimbursement (probably did in April), the higher amount for the day rate makes it WELL worth it.

When I was hired, I was told a rate of 'x'. I actually got paid 'y', which is about 50% more than x. And when you figure that rate also applied to OT hours, yea, I don't want to rock the boat. :P

Given all the details at this point, I’d go with the flow and consider myself paid in full since it sounds like you were you were compensated well beyond what you thought was negotiated, with or without the parking reimbursed.

If you got paid more than you were told you'd get what the hell are you complaining about? You aren't complaining about the extra hourly rate are you? You might even end up owing them money. Move on, be grateful there are a lot of people out of work right now and considering the other thing about being paid more. If you weren't prepared to ask why you got paid more hourly, but being ready to object to no parking reimbursement seems a shade questionable.

Wow. Who pissed in your Wheaties this morning? I thought this could be an interesting discussion and wanted to see what other people would do and what their thoughts are. You really read this as me "complaining" or "being ready to object"? HAHAHAHA.

I hope your day goes better.

Back in March, I was contacted and hired for two "side jobs". One in April and the second this month. Day rate + travel/mileage + parking. I do the April job and get paid, day rate more than I was expecting/was told, but everything included.

I do the job for this month. Just got the pay stub, and it has the day rate and travel/mileage, but no parking. Again, the day rate was much more than I was expecting (and even higher than the April event - hey, got a raise and didn't know about it). BUT, parking wasn't included.

So, do I reach out to ask about parking reimbursement, or just let it go?

Parking was/would be a small percentage of the net pay.

My gut says "let it go", but I don't know if I'll get more opportunities with this employer in the future, and don't want to set a precedent (if anyone even pays attention to it). On the other hand, the day rate is much higher than what I had originally agreed to, so not getting parking reimbursed isn't a huge loss.

No "other" choice because it's kind of binary.

And not that it makes a difference, but yes, my full time employer knows about the side jobs (and I took PTO for them).
If the more than you thought (extra pay) was more than the parking I'd let it go. If it doesn't cover parking then Id reach out.
