What can you tell me about the place? It has barely been on my radar as I never thought I'd be staying there...

I'm so glad things worked out for you. I don't think you'll regret it, but sometime you have to try AKL. We LOVE it there.

Yes, AKL is still on the list. In fact, if not for the construction I would still prefer that over GF...

I would agree. When we moved from POFQ we could have picked any resort and we picked AKL. We've never left. I hope you have a wonderful vacation and given the one comment about "feeling cheated" from another in your party, I think you made a good decision. Have a wonderful time.

Yes. We were pretty bummed. We were several rooms away too.

Were you there during value season when you couldn't get connecting rooms? We really prefer AKL for this trip, but connecting rooms are our 1st priority.

We were there in mid June both times. I don't know if it was because of the types of rooms we had. We had a queen and a bunk and then the other could have been either 2 queens or a king room. No idea.

The GF is great! I stayed sugar laof concierge there last NOV and the room was wonderful.. I had a dormer room and it was very nice. The rooms fit 5 comfortably, great places to eat, the monorail, the grounds are breath taking. We are getting a cabana when we are there, they look wonderful. You can rent them and come stcoked with a fruit basket, water sodas and other stuff. I would come on over to the GF FAQ thread we have a great thread with info and chatting. I will post some pics of the resort to.
