What's in a title anyway? How about 1300 pictures? 4/15/11-> Bonus Section pt1 & 2

So that update was worth waiting for! Awesome! Love all of the Nemo pictures. I need to see that show again. It's been a while. I also love Rope Drop at the Magic Kingdom. The last few times we've done an early breakfast so we're in the park for rope drop. I miss hearing the song and seeing the train pull up. And I love Splash Mountain. So many wonderful details! And who can't smile when they hear the song Zip a Dee Doo Dah. (Just to show what a dork I am, that is the ring tone on my phone. I get funny looks sometimes:laughing:) Can't wait for more! And I'll wait no matter how long it takes:goodvibes

Thank you very much! I was determined to get one finished last night :thumbsup2
Rope drop was great and with no lines in the park for the first few hours, it was great! I already told Tina to expect to get up early for the next trip. I want to see rope drop at each park eventually!
As far as the ring tone goes.....I'll give that one big :thumbsup2. I've reached that age to where I couldn't care less if someone thinks I'm a dork about something. If that person doesn't know how to have fun, I feel bad for them!

Wait just a minute....

disregarding the rest of your updates (which were wonderful, by the way, I completely agree regarding the Nemo show).....

you'd NEVER BEEN ON SPLASH MOUNTAIN BEFORE?!?!?!

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?

I liked your update with all the pictures from my favorite ride, but knowing that you'd never been on before kind of makes me think a little bit less of you. I'm not sure I can tag along for this TR anymore. If you ain't a friend of Brer Rabbit, you ain't no friend of mine!

PS: Thank you for the shout-out, but when did I post pictures of Splash Mountain? :rotfl:

I have been reading along... Just haven't had a chance to post. First you cannot show the kids a new vacation spot, then I would miss your trip reports. Second, I am a ride chicken, but now thanks to your photos I think I am going to try splash. Third, I think Nate and Logan should join Katie and Gianna on the dance team, they were pretty good.

The pictures of rope drop at MK are great! It gave me a little bit of a chill seeing them since we'll be there in just over a month.

It's great to see all of your pictures of Splash Mtn. I've never ridden it before because I don't like water rides. Maybe someday I'll give it a go.

:happytv: Deep breath step away from the window ledge. Everything is going to be OK. We are all friends here, including Brer Rabbit. Would it help if I said I liked it so much I went on it a second time late on that day? :confused3

Now I'm not a 100% sure of the exact thread but in was maybe a yr and a half ago (give or take) and I want to say that there was a thread for dark rides pictures. You posted one or two pictures and said something about it being an 8+ minute ride. I youtubed it and watched the videos a few times but just never got the chance to try it :confused3

HEY KIM! Are you ready for some Spring Training or what!?!? Phillies vs Yankees Next Saturday  I know it's hard to think about, but eventually there will need to be other vacations. We really want to do a cruise again someday like we did on our honeymoon when the kids are a little older. I know, Disney does cruises.....but for the price of 1 Disney cruise we could go on 2 or three Carnival Cruises so we'll see.

ALSO, you should try Splash! It was so much fun and so long for a ride! I can see why people have waited for 30+ minutes to get on it ESPECIALLY in the summer! Just remember, you will get wet!

:yay::banana::dance3: I get so excited for people when it gets close to their departure date! Enjoy every minute of it!

Rope drop-rides for a few hrs-lunch at the hotel with a pool break- Parks again around diner till close......the secret to success!

Will there be a trip report? I just saw you have one already for March that I'm going to head over to check out. I always wanted to go down in Feb/March.....how was the crowd level?

Wow, those were great photos of Splash Mountain. I loved Splash Mountain and I almost didn't do it because I just didn't want to get wet and then I changed my mind and decided 'IT'S DISNEY, I'M JUST GOING TO DO IT!!!"
So glad I did as I think it was my allover favorite ride at Disney.

We did Rope Drop at MK on Dec. 28th for 7 am EMH!!! :lmao:
I know... we're crazy!! We were up at 5;30 am and arrived at MK by 6;45 am!!
It was so worth it!! It was chilly out and not a lot of people and we too had the park to ourselves that morning!!

Debbie

100% AWESOME update! the photos from Splash!! :worship:

Ok, so.... HELP ME PLEASE! Why is it that when I take photos with the flash off, the entire picture comes out streaky/blurry? I've worked with multiple ISO's but still... I am a nighttime photo-taking moron! -Stace:upsidedow

You should see the photos I took at Universal two nighst ago! It was an indoor live TV taping of TNA Wrestling and pics came out so bad it looks like I was taking pics of a TV screen while running and drunk. P.S. I was neither running, nor drunk. Unfortunately.

Isn't it great when that happens :thumbsup2 Granted, nobody wants to be there when it's chilly but you can get SO much done in the first few hrs! As soon as it warms up a bit, the crowds start to flood in, that's when it's time to head back to the hotel for a nap! I'm hoping we can stick to that plan in May but who knows:confused3 It only takes one late night to throw off the rest of the week!

Absolutely! Bring a friend! EVERYBODY is welcome! As for being way late, just look at it as you didn't need to wait long for each update:lmao: There's still PLENTY that we haven't covered yet!

When your object moving, the shutter speed is vital for stopping the motion. The downside is that the faster the shutter, the less light it lets in. That's when the Aperture and ISO work hand in hand to compensate for the lack in shutter speed. The Aperture is limited by the lens and the ISO by the body of the camera you are using. Even if your camera goes up to 6400 ISO you might get a picture with so much noise after 800 that it's just not usable, so know your limits. I kept my ISO at 3200 and used a shutter speed of 1/60 throughout the show while in "Shutter Priority" mode. That way my camera can figure out the Aperture in needs to get a good exposure. If you really want to get into it, check out Bryan Peterson's book Called "Understanding Exposure." Very good read and he can explain in much easier than I can.

I'll give you a link in the next post that lets you figure out the settings for each picture:thumbsup2

CHEATER!!!!
Just Kidding. Anyone is more than welcome as long as it's just for personal reasons. If someone's making $$$, I need a little piece of that....daddy needs some faster lenses!!!!:rotfl2:

Maybe that was part of the problem :rotfl2:
I'm so just kidding !!!! I have very shaky hands myself, one night I figured I'd try my theory that the shakiness from my body swaying after getting tipsy would counteract the natural shakiness of my hands. No dice:rotfl2: BUT if it had worked out, I would be known all over the world as a photography genius!!! I should have stopped after the first 5 shots I took :rotfl2: 200 pictures alter and not one turned out. Heck of a night though!!!:rotfl:

If anyone want's to see the settings for a particular picture, right click on the picture and select "View Image"

The browser will take you to the address of that picture.

Look in the address bar at the top of your screen. It should start out with http://i561.photobucket.com/albums..........bla bla bla

Highlight and copy the entire link.

Open up another page and go to http://regex.info/exif.cgi

Under "check a file on the web... " Paste the address of the picture and click on "View Image at URL"

It will list all the settings stored in the EXIF for that picture.

There isn't a picture in my account that should have the info stripped, so if you have any issues, just ask.

Don't apologize for the delay between updates! Us DISers will definitely stick around. :thumbsup2

I love your attraction photos! And on a cloudy February day here in the Midwest, I look at them and pretend I'm in beautiful Disney riding the rides! :goodvibes
