what's in a Basic Package??

just wondring what would make up a Basic Package?
hotel & tickets?? and i guess then you would be able to add on the DDP once it becomes available to book and what ever else they come out with

Plutolovr did a great job of explaining it in another thread.....

When you book a room only, you get exactly that, a room. You have to pay one night's deposit and the rest at checkin. Now if you're booking the room only to convert to a package when they come out, Disney has to cancel the room only ressie and rebook you a package. If you're going at a very busy time and are staying somewhere very popular you may not be able to get the same room back when you book that package.

The basic package is a room, no tickets and some other little amenities like WWS admission and/or mini-golf. If you have one of these, when the "regular" packages come out you can call and just modify this ressie and keep the room you are holding. You will be required to put $200 down and pay the balance 45 days prior to checkin.

The Basic Plan is simply a room reservation with a visit to Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex or a round of Miniature Golf included. For folks who are so impatient to book for 2007 that they can't wait until the actual packages are confirmed the Basic Plan serves as a placeholder. That is, it allows them to book a room as part of a package, adding their desired ticket, dining and recreation components once the packages are available. Otherwise they would pay an initial deposit on a room only reservation and another deposit when they change their reservation to a package. The refund for the room only deposit would be processed but can leave the funds in limbo for up to 3 billing cycles of the CC depending on how efficient their bank is once Disney advises them of the refund. The money cannot be transferred directly between packages and room only reservation.
