I can't seem to decide. Seems like the first day in a while that won't be too hot out. What's everyone cooking?

I was just wondering what to pull out the freezer....I think I am going to make a big salad with breaded chicken strips.....It is so hot here....104 over the weekend....It is just too hot to cook or eat a big meal.

DH asked for homemade potato soup, but I have to go get more cheddar and ham to make it. I hate going to the grocery store for only a few things! Oh well, I think I will pick up some french bread while I am there. And sugar. And milk...I need to make a list LOL.

Take out, probably chinese. I don't want to leave any dirty dishes for my DH and I won't feel like washing them!

We're having chili :)
It has finally started to cool off here. Was rainy and such over the weekend so it seemed like a good idea for today.

Thanks for reminding me-need to go take some chicken out of the freezer! :sunny:

I made chicken parmesan last night..very good. I'm proud of myself, cuz lately we got in a bad take out rut, cooking 1-2 times (if that) per week. Tonite we're having italian beef sandwiches I think.

I just put a meal in the crockpot. I don't know what it's called but I'd found the recipe in the "Fix It and Forget It" cookbook and we have it quite a bit. When the kids ask what's for dinner, I say, "That stuff in the crockpot that you like over mashed potatoes." They know what I'm talking about! Maybe I should look up the name of it!

Leaning towards Cubed steak, either mashed potatoes or rice-a-roni,green beans....maybe pork chops. Will prob. make some veg. soup for tomorrow also.

Spaghetti & Meatballs! I am making my famous homemade sauce today! :goodvibes

We're having leftovers of last night's dinner. Since it has gotten cool over the last couple of days we can have oven baked food!!

We had pot roast and roasted veggies (yukon potatoes, brussel sprouts, shallots, with bacon, olive oil, and finihsed with a lemon juice and butter drizzle.) YUM!!!

I also got the stuff to make potato soup since it's gotten cool.

Last night I made sweet red peppers with onions and garlic in olive oil.
Tonight we will have that over pasta with some grated cheese on top.
And stuffed mushrooms!

Probably a tuna sandwich for me. DH will be home too late for dinner, so when I'm by myself I can eat light! :teeth:

I will be making some Fried Rice tonight...mmmmmmmmmmmm.

Yes ladies you read that right I (the husband) will be making fried rice..lol, That's about the only thing I can make really good!!!

I am going the easy route....... throw a pot roast into the oven...
with sweet potatoes and carrots... that's all.

Fried rice? Hey, at least you cook! :teeth:

Tonight I'll be making manicotti with spinach. Tomorrow we will be eating brown rice, mochiko chicken (Japanese fried chicken), and veggies.
