Evening all-- Whew what a night, it was looong, 20 kids worth of "stuff" (3rd-5th)... but it was a blast. Ross had started to decompose as the night went on....the muslin was slowly unwinding, lol!
I think we (parents of 5th graders) enjoyed it a lot, as we know this is our last year doing this project, next year we will be parents of Jr high schoolers!! UGH!!
All of the kids picked great country's this year, and had great displays!! The costumes were all creative as well. I must say that other then one or two things, the food this year was outstanding!! We had foods from Tanzania, Peru, Ireland, Brazil, China, Egypt,

etc etc. The girl who had France did crossiants and her little brother was dressed up like a French pastry chef, big hat and all passing them out on Ratatouille napkins...he was adorable!
Ross (ahem me) made Ghryba's....it is an Egyptian Christmas cookie...tasted like a mild Lorna Doone.....it had 1 cup of melted butter in it, lol....Paula Deen would love it

It went really great with the green mint tea from Morocco, and the coffee from Columbia!!
Sheryl--I have our little Iron Chef in my heart and prayers tonight, please let us know what you find out. The poor baby.
Rogue26--Welcome, you did great!!..post recipes and meal plans and jump on in the chatting as well, you can't be shy around these parts, we move fast!!
Lauren--Glad you had a good day today, and took the time to do something other then the house this morning!! Stepping back and taking a deep breath is important!!
Ok I am all over the place in the conversation and I am sure I missed some of you....I mean well and you ALL are in my thoughts..........I will toast to you as I go get myself a glass of wine to unwind with......Kris is laying a (uniclick) wood floor for a customer at his Tattoo Studio tonight, he will be a bit late as he didn't get over there until after the presentation.
