Yup it's in the slow cooker, it smells beautiful! I have just mixed up some mint sauce and put my roast spuds in the oven, I have decided to make home made ones today instead of Aunt Bessies!
For the meatballs,i buy good steak+put it thru the mincer, add chopped onions, salt+pepper+dried mixed herbs.Add an egg to bind together-no breadcrumbs-but you can if you want to.Simply fry them in butter.
For the sauce, tonight i am using Grandad's home grown plum toms, skin them first(pour boiling water on them+cover)chop up,add salt, pepper, crushed garlic, worsetshire(spell?) sauce, olive oil,tom puree, chopped fresh basil,a little sugar-as some toms can be quite acidic and simmer.Sometimes i add chunks of already sweated mushrooms+onions to the sauce.
Serve+add fresh grated parmesan on top.
Hope you understood that.x.

Morrisons had their Curry bags for two at £3 last week. Plus packs of Cobra beer for £2..... It was some kind of 'night in' promotion.

My Lamb Casserole is more like a Lamb Stew/Soup which we eat with hot crusty bread.
Always start it early in the morning so it's ready for dinner(for me-i have it going from 10am to eat at 5pm).
Chop up your lamb into biggish chunks(as they will shrink),chop mushrooms+onions, carrots, spaghetti(pasta type-spaghetti break in half),2 lamb stock cubes mixed with a little hot water, salt+pepper, lamb seasoning, tin of Heinz lamb+veg big soup, some gravy granules to thicken, fill 1/2 with water(don't add to much water as it's easier to thin soup than to thicken).
This is the same basis i use for any stew,beef-use beef stock cubes, beef seasoning, tin of condensed oxtail soup or beef+veg soup
chicken,chicken stock cubes,condensed chick soup,etc...
i also like adding sausages to my stews.
You can add anything you like, more veg, pulses etc...(i have 2 fussy girls so only add the minimum of items).
I sometimes add dumplings about 30-40mins before it gets served,or once there cooked i add new pots-there's so many different variations when using a slow cooker.x.
