I asked this question last year, and was really interested in all the replies.
We are eating out this year so I'm not cooking:Pinkbounc
First time in 20yrs!!

We will still be having a melon, salmon or sobet starter, turkey, stuffing, brussel sprouts, carrots, cabbage, roast potatoes, new potatoes and gravy......ooh, cranberry sauce with the turkey too.
followed by, Christmas pud and cream or custard, or a selection of sweets, gateau etc...
Cheese & biscuits
Coffee & mints, and a stretcher to carry us home on after all that food:p

How about you, what's on the menu at your house?

Peanut Butter and Jelly? What else is there for lunch?

No Christmas lunch or breakfast at my house.

I'm working 8-12 Christmas morning and will need to race home, do last minute food prep for that night, load the car up, and DH and I will need to be at my parents' for 2:30.

Our family works and eats at our town's Christmas Community Dinner on the 25th. Our church sponsors the event and we serve turkey and all the trimmings to anyone who wants to join us. The theme is "no one should be alone at Christmas" and we have many poor or homeless along with lots of elderly who have no one to celebrate with. It's a fun and festive way to spend the afternoon. Besides working bussing tables or serving desserts, we usually join the group that sings Christmas carols.

That night, we'll have home-made honey roasted ham at home. In fact, it's in the oven to cook all night tonight because the next few days are going to be hectic.

Appetizers:
sausage bread
cheese & crackers
fruit

Main course:
Salad & dressing
Boneless pork roast w/ gravy
Mashed potatoes
Several vegetables
Cranberry sauce (one w/ orange -- one just jellied)
Apple sauce
Pickles & olives
Rolls & butter
(I think that's it..... ??)

Drinks:
Austi Spumonti (sp?)
coffee
milk or soda

Dessert:
Apple crisp
Dessert (unknown -- mom's surprising me)
vanilla ice cream

It might be popcorn and soda...:o we might go see The Lion King in IMAX Christmas afternoon.

Christmas dinner is salmon, I think, with lots of other food also. (We are all so sick of turkey and ham!) :)

We just have snacks for lunch, then off to my mom's for dinner, and we'll have
roast,
ham
rolls
dressing
corn
cranberry sauce
cranberry salad
relish tray
mashed potatoes and gravy
sweet potatoes
pumpkin pie
pecan pie

yum!

on Christmas day we have a late breakfast (after presents) then we go to my Dads at one and don't eat till around 3 at my aunts house, not sure what we are having, but usually the traditional Christmas foods.

I'm cooking dinner this Christmas. We are having a traditional meal.
Roast turkey
sausage stuffing
mashed potatoes
mashed turnip
butternut squash
green bean cassorole
sweet potatoes
cranberry sauce
cressent rolls

pecan pie
pineapple pie
texas brownies

Too much food!

I am making BBQ ribs for Christmas dinner. We have a traditional salad made with pineapple, cream cheese, chocolate and cherries, and DS is making twice baked potatoes. We will have raw vegies and condiments and peppermint dessert. Of course, we will also have lefse and a whole array of sweets!:)

Standing rib roast with sage au jus- mashed potato- peas- rolls and salad. For dessert I am making a cheesecake. I can hardly wait!!

Standing rib roast with au jus, mashed potatos or rice, rolls, 7-layer overnight salad, green beans and then a chocolate chip pie with ice cream:D !

Mmmmmmmm.............All sounds wonderful, not sure about the chocolate in the salad though:p

Sounds like something Rachel prepared for the gang on that Thanksgiving Friends awhile back:eek: !

I just found out today that my brother and his wife, it is their year to host, will be serving bar-b-que and cole slaw. Of course they expect me to make homemade pies and cookies:rolleyes: I am looking for a better menu....any ham with all the trimmings being made this year?
