What's better than a honeymoon? TWO Honeymoons! 8/30 57 hours/13 months to go!

US is definitely not a planning park. You pretty much just need to figure out your basic strategy and go from there, depending on crowds and wait times. I never make a ton of plans and just go for it; it's a lot more relaxed, IMHO.

Oooh new toy, great photos :thumbsup2 Bless Penny, she's so cute :cutie:

Good, then it sounds like we will be a-ok with our approach to these parks!

Thanks, we think she's pretty adorable!

Day 4: Sunday, 9/5

Now we're getting to the good stuff, folks...

We'll check out bright and early and store our things with bell services at Portofino Bay. Then we can head out for another day at US or IOA (this will depend on what we may have missed in the last few days). We need to leave Universal by 6pm at the latest. That's because we need to catch a cab to The Poly!!

We'll check in to our garden view room (as much as I kept toying with the idea of paying for a theme park view, I just couldn't justify it...), shout 'aloha!' to anyone that looks at us, and do several dances of joy. Then we'll skip to our longhouse (didn't request one, we're living on the edge, I tell ya!) and get clean and ready for a delicious 8:30 dinner at 'Ohana. I never save room for the meat skewers because I love the appetizers too much not to fill up on them. And I bet that won't change this year. I also plan to eat enough banana bread pudding to cause a food coma.
Once I've eaten enough so my pants no longer fit, we'll scoot off to the monorail for some late night Magic Kingdom action. With EMH, the park is open till 1am. There are a few things that I just love doing at night:
BTMRR (could take or leave it during the day, but at night it is one of my favorites!)
Splash Mountain (love the lights during the first outdoors part. And seeing the castle from the ride is cool!)
Walking around Frontierland in general (have you ever noticed how super dark it gets over there?)
Jungle Cruise (you may have noticed that I am a dork with a really dry/corny sense of humor. I. Love. The. Jungle. Cruise.)
I don't know what to expect for crowds, so I'm not sure how much we'll get done. Since we won't have been here earlier in the day, we won't have any FP to use. But I figure it's a good time to wait in lines- when we are still in awe of being in the MK and enjoying looking at everything.
Then we will simply hop back on the monorail and go home. To the Poly.

That was a tough post... I am almost in pain over here because I want to go already. Is it time yet?????

Nice day 4 plans! I am excited about EMH that night since it is so late. I am sure my dd will be there...but maybe all of us will and then you might actually see us roaming about.

Sounds amazing-- Ohana's bread pudding is my laptop background. Favorite dessert. Of. All. Time. I found a recipe for it online, but I'm afraid to make it b/c I know it won't be as good as theirs.
Definitely love BTMR at night more! It FEELS faster. I don't think crowds should be too terrible-- you'll have plenty of time to get a lot in!

Three. More. Weeks. Ahh!!!! The way you explained MK at night brought butterflies to my stomach. :cloud9: I can't wait for that. I am so excited for you. Enjoy the anticipation, that's what I'm trying to do. We have 6 weeks and 6 days left until we go and I cannot wait to spend 8 glorious nights in the world! :)

Day 4 sounds great, checking into the Poly bet you will be giddy with excitement on that day :teeth:

BTMRR at night is my all time favorite! I did it once three times in a row during EMH, you get to see all this cool stuff that you don't notice/ can't see in the daylight. I like to end EMH at MK with an ice cream sandwich. Maybe we'll see you there!

It's the only 'late night' the parks will be open while we are there, so I MUST go! Though I am sure I will be paying for it the next morning...
Hope to see you around!

I love that it's your background! I think having it served to your table at 'Ohana is part of what makes it so good and you could never re-create that at home. Unless you live at 'Ohana (do you? cause that would be so cool!;) )

Seventeen days. Till we leave for Florida. I really think this is my favorite time of life (yes, life)- the couple of weeks leading up to taking a WDW trip. I told Ben the other day that if we could take more Disney trips, I would be happier, and doesn't he want me happier? :rotfl:
I hope your 6 weeks goes by as fast as possible while still allowing you to enjoy the anticipation!

I am going to be a crazy person in that lobby. I just may hug a CM. I still can't picture checking in. I never thought I'd be staying there!

Isn't it awesome at night? That's another thing I love about it- when you get to stay on for multiple rides and the CMs are all joking around and having fun.
Mmm, ice cream sandwich! I'll casually glance over near the bakery to see if you're there:thumbsup2

I have a feeling I'm going to see Ben and scream his name in the middle of Main Street with all the pictures you have of him up here. Either that or I'm going to imagine everyone is him. LOL

 that would be great- he'd be so confused! But then he'd become your best friend, and maybe even sing a Madonna song:rotfl:

And then that would turn into OMG Ben you guys have to come to dinner with us to meet my friend who is a former CM and sang I Kissed a Girl in a karoke bar and he did so good! True story I got to be lucky enough to see a video of it. It put me like :rotfl2:

Oh and I was talking last night to my BF about sharing the dessert buffet in Boston with you. And first question he asked was where did you agree to meet them?

:rotfl: that must've been a hilarious karaoke performance!

Haha, your BF is suspicious! Now I really will be looking for you guys at the MK!

I think I get to start may vacation a day early, folks! I was looking at the schedule at work, and I really don't need to be there the Wednesday before we leave. I scheduled myself because I thought it would help the time go by faster, but I forgot that we aren't flying out of Boston and need to spend the night at Ben's parents. I'll have been working 6 days in a row at that point and I think it' safe to say I won't be ready to go if I don't take that Wednesday off. Now I can spend it cleaning, packing and listening to Disney music! Sounds good to me!!

On with our plans... at this rate I'll just have time to finish before we go!

Day 5: Monday, 9/6
This might be my favorite day. But I think I said that about Day 4. Is it safe to say that they're all my favorites? (Except of course for that disgusting, gross, yucky last day. Blecj  )

We have a 7:30 breakfast ADR at Kona. I'm going to eat Tonga Toast!! I've never had it, but I have read about it so much on the Dis. I am ready for the sweet deliciousness. I'm not going so far as to tell Ben what to order at meals (even though I've already picked mine out!), but I hope he gets the Samoan- poached eggs with Hollandaise served over smoked pulled pork hash. Cause I want both!

After breakfast, we will hotfoot it over to the MK. We usually start in Frontierland, but I'm guessing we'll have done a lot there the night before. So maybe we'll start in Tomorrowland this time around. I think we'll stay at the MK through lunch (Pecos Bills, Columbia Harbor House, maybe Cosmic Rays?) because we'll need to head back to the Poly around 5 or so to get ready for....

a rootin-tootin good time at the Hoop De Do Musical Revue!! We're going to the 7:15 seating. I am so psyched about this. Seriously one of the highlights of the week for me. I know we'll have a blast, and it will be so cool to do something completely new for both of us. Does anyone know how long this goes? Would it be reasonable to expect to be back at the Poly at 9? My only agenda for the rest of the evening is a cocktail and a little pool time if possible. We can stay up a little late because we don't need a very early start the next morning.

Hmmm, so far, we're not doing all that crazy park hopping I talked about. I wonder if that will change later in the week...

Haha, your BF is suspicious! Now I really will be looking for you guys at the MK!

He's getting used to me making plans and it being accidentally running into someone I know, whether in real life or online. It fact when we were in Cali last year, I met up with this girl I knew from online and over the phone only, it was our first time meeting. Thank goodness he is use to my craziness now.

Day 5 sounds great, can't wait to hear all about the HDDR :goodvibes

I'm jealous of your ticker! Haha. Having the day off before you leave for vacation will be so nice. You will get to be stress free at the start of your trip! :) I definitely think you will park hop more later in the trip. But if not-all the better! I can't wait to take a lot more of a relaxing approach to this trip myself. Even if I had to write relax in my daily plans haha. :)

I can't believe you've only got a little more than 2 weeks to go! I'm so excited for you! :woohoo: And I'm loving the plans so far. Your Poly arrival day sounds so nice!

I'm sure you can sweet talk Ben into get the other breakfast you want!
Can't wait to hear all about HDDR when you get back-- never been but it looks like great, corny fun!
