We have a sofa and love seat, a kitchen table, and an entertainment center. How should we price them?

I think the sofa and love seat were about $1200 15 years and 2 kids ago, the kitchen table was about $200 at Sam's a couple of years ago, and the entertainment center was about $250 10 years ago at Sears. When the light hits it right, you can see the drawing that my dd scratched on it when she was about 4.

Is 10% of the original price about right? Too high?

Thanks!

Honestly for that old of stuff, I would put free to good home.

I think the table and entertainment center should sell at about 10%. The entertainment center might only go for $10-15 though depending on the condition w/ the "drawing".
The couch and loveseat being 15 yrs old- I'm assuming w/ the kids it's well used??? $120 might be too much. I think the style (is it timeless or dated?) as well as the overall condition really would need to be taken into consideration. I'd think $150 would be near perfect condition (for the age)-- so I'm thinking that in average condition about $60-85 and in fair condition $40-60. Biggest thing is how bad do you want them gone???

Actually, I've found that free stuff tends to stay put. If you don't value it at all, it seems like others won't either. However, price it really cheap so they think they're getting a "deal" and people snap it up! I'd guess price it at 10% and be prepared to accept if you get offered less. Garage sale shoppers want to get a bargain. Good luck! :sunny:

I would go about 25 on the table, no more than 20 on the E-Center, and 25 on the couch

I've found the same to be true about free stuff. I have a funny story. My in-laws had a flea market booth for selling Star Wars collectibles and different odd-n-ends. They had lucked up on a boat motor for an exceptional deal. They priced it so they would make a profit. It sat there for the entire weekend with people asking what was wrong with it. They had it in a barrel of water and everything so people could test it. I think the same happened for a few weekends in a row. Finally, FIL tripled the price. It sold to the next person who walked up about 5 minutes later! :lmao:
