I would like to sell DS's old TV. It's just collecting dust in my closet - we wont use it. I was going to post it on Craigslist & maybe my Facebook, but I dont know what's a reasonable price to ask?

19" Flat Panel w/ Built-in DVD Player - 1 year old.

Is $50 too much or is that OK?

No she needs to be in NJ :rolleyes1

I'd buy it at that price too.

I'd put it up for $125 and "reasonable offers considered".

As long as it's flat panel you should be fine. But if it's a tube TV, forget about it. We put a really nice 36" Sony out at our last yard sale and couldn't even get $10 for it.

As a general rule I've found that Craigslist folks love to bargain though. I'd either pick a price you want to get, state that it's firm, and not give in. Or as cglaura suggested, price it higher and let them talk you down so they feel like they got a deal. ;)

:thumbsup2 This. You'll be suprised what you will get for it on CL. Or I was, at least. I sold an old, OLD entertainment center for $25 (might have brought $10 at a yard sale) and the BOTTOM HALF of a bunk bed frame (wooden and looked like a double bed when standing alone, still only had bunkie boards for the mattress support) for $25.....probably wouldn't have sold at all at a yard sale. I would at least ask $100, probably $125 and let them bicker me down to $100.

Sorry guys ~ I'm in Pgh :lmao:

It was last years Black Friday special, so I didnt pay that much for it & would've been happy with $50. Now I'm hoping for $100!! (It is the new flat panel - not the old tube kind.)

As an aside, this is what I told DH. We have two similar TVs that still work, are very nice, but NO ONE will want them even if free? If we do a FREE alert on CL and put them on the treelawn, will someone take them?

Do you freecycle? I think that would be the best place to offer them.
