I just wanted to know how everyone did today with their FD ? Did you get up at the crack of dawn to ensure you were on the phone right at 7am? did you sit on the phone forever? Did you get what you wanted? If not what did you get?

I was up at 630am (I work overnight at a hospital so on my nights off I try to sleep in until 9am) waaay to early for me! Started calling at 655am (just incase). I got through right at 7am but I still was stuck on hold for 45 min! The longest I have ever been on hold for anything with disney! I was originally booked at POFQ in a standard room. Once I got got through to a CM I was told POFQ had no rooms available other than king bed rooms (family of 4 so that doesnt work). So my second choice was POR. The CM tells me "sorry no standard there but we have garden view for $78 more". Sold! Those were my top two choices so as long as I wasnt paying crazy money for an upgraded view Id be happy! Just cause I wanted to run the numbers I asked her if any of the values had a standard room available and at that time she said only sports had standard which I was not intersted in. So the other values would have forced me into a preferred room so with that extra cost and the cost of upgrading to the DDP we only had to pay an extra 250 for POR garden view! So I think its a great deal! August 25th cant come fast enough!!
Side note- She did tell me there were atleast 400ppl on hold.

I was booked last week with the DV FD offer, but I couldn't get what I wanted (which was Pop). We had 3 rooms, so we had to settle for ASSp. Bummer.

But I called today, 1:00pm NJ time, got through with a 2 minute wait, and was able to change our 3 room ressie to Pop!

I did have to tweak my dates by 2 days, but I can live with that. We got our first choice - 3 standard rooms at Pop - and couldn't be happier. 9/29 - 10/11. Woo hoo!!

I had to be at work at 6am, 7 am DIS time, so I booked my trip at 6:15 on my iPhone in the office before our store opened. Took a total of maybe 5 mins & got my standard Port Orelans Riverside room for 8/30-9/4

I was on hold this morning for about an hour and ended up booking ASMu (standard), then later I was playing around and was able to get POP online (standard), so I booked that...now I have to cancel the other one!

We wanted BLT, 2 bedroom and we got BLT, 2 bedroom . My DH had to call twice tho bc the 1st CM said it wasn't available, but I told him to call right back and he did and it was magically available lol. The 2nd CM at 1st said it wasn't there and then she realized she didn't scroll down and when she did scroll down, there it was! lol

Didn't realize the site was down. I was shocked to look online using my phone & see that the offer was up! I thought it took a little while for it to go up sometimes. I feel lucky

OK....Woke up at 5:45am and got everything already to book online at 6:00am like in the past...offer never came up before 7:00am, so at 6:58am started calling. At 7:00 got through with a 10 mins wait, offer went live at 7:00am online and checked my dates...Only Sports...Did not want Sports and did not want to pay for a mod. So at 7:13am I hung up the phone and had to get my daughter off to school, checking every few mins to see if anything changed. Nothing changed so when I returned from taking my dd13 to school still no change...really really did not want sports. So I thought and thought and asked my mama( also going and did not want Sports) want she thought, she did not know what to do and said for me to do what I thought was best. So after stewing for awhile, I broke down and booked sports in case they sold out and was left with nothing and thought I could always cancel or change it to pop if it was available. So I was checking and checking the whole afternoon and then at 4:00pm I check and yes Pop was available. so I called and switched it,lol

So I got Pop Sept 20-29 Standard View.

Well, I had been reading the boards and hearing about how few people were able to get standard at POR and most were upgrading to garden view. I just really didn't want to pay for a view I'm not going to look at! Plus, I'd been pretty set on a value and hubby talked me into POR. So I was pretty set and determined to get a standard room.

I ended up deciding to use a travel agent. She rocked. She booked me a standard room at POR on Saturday and then said she would try to convert it first thing today. She said she didn't have any one else lined up to book the public offer, or at least not anyone as adamant about getting a particular room type so she made me her top priority. SCORE! She was up first thing and got my reservation switched to free dining and I got to keep my standard room. YEA!!!

To top it all off, we planned to drive (1100 miles from NE Indiana). We are road trip warriors. But! I scored Airtran tickets for our dates--$880 for all four of us! And because we get in early/leave late, it's like we've added two more days to our trip. How cool is that?

All in all, a great day. I'm so excited!

We got POR garden view, 8/25-9/2. Room only garden view on 8/24 w/30% off code. Wanted POFQ but need 3 rooms and all need 2 queen beds. I hope we don't get put way out in POR. Like the idea of POFQ being smaller but I think the kids are actually going to like POR better with the pools. Just happy to be at a moderate!

Oh awesome! POP is great we have stayed there the last 3 yrs only reason we switched was to try something new! its our fave value by far! i think alot of people feel the same way!

I waited until 11:30 to call during my planning time at school. I wanted ASMovies which wasn't available. Since we needed 2 rooms and were upgrading to regular dining I went with my second choice Fort Wilderness cabins. I will keep trying to change to my 1st pick after the initial free dining crazies are over.

I know that a "good deal" is really subjective for a lot of people, myself included - it's all about perception! I feel like I really got a good deal today, and I am really happy with how everything went.

I called right at 7:00 eastern time - after all of the automated stuff on the phone, the recording announced my wait time would be 45 minutes. However, no sooner did it say that, when a super sweet CM picked up the line. I was really surprised, as you can imagine!

So, to make a long story short...

I had already booked 6d/5n at BLT 1BR villa -standard view- with the DxDP 8/26-31. She told me FD wasn't available for the room we had already booked, so we decided to switch resorts. I'm now booked at the Contemporary - TPV - upgraded FD to the DxDP and saved about $1200 total!

I booked All Star Sports when the Visa offer came out since I already bought plane tickets and I really wanted free dining. I checked online as soon as I got up this morning and still nothing but Sports. Checked several times throughout the day and NO values were available. Had to go to the grocery store and drug store and post office. got home around four, checked again and there it was ... All Star Movies. Sat on hold forever! Finally got through, switched resorts, upgraded to regular dining plan, added in another day on the tickets and gave my flight numbers for Magical Express. It's perfect, exactly what I wanted!

any of the values would of been fine for just me and DH.....DH is doing Bass Fishing excursions everyday with my DF(who is on the Premium Plan for 10 nights, (3 @ GF club level, which are complimentary r/t a horrible experience last year and the rest @ YC). I hate to pay for Mod or Deluxe for DH and I when DH will be fishing from 7am~1pm daily...then napping afterwards, dinner and parks at night.............I will be out during the day with my mother...

anyways, @ 7am, we got ASSp, 9/6~9/16 via online booking, took minutes, site was somewhat slow. For fun, I dialed the phone too, 30 minute wait and just told them I got in online. We upgraded to DXDP of course, I would rather do that than pay more for the hotel. Glad everyone is doing well with FD.

I wanted ASMu ended up booking Sports then checked this evening and saw that Music was open so booked it. I know it seems silly to change from one All Star to another but according to 12 yo DD "it's just not the same daddy"

I wanted POR preferred room. First booked standard room on March 1, then changed that to garden view today. Just checked an hour ago and a preferred came up online and I booked that, so I was finally able to get what I wanted!

Definetly keep trying- I checked online at various times throughout the day, standards came and went, water view came and went, garden seemed to pretty much stay available. You just never know- congrats to everyone that got what they wanted!
