What would you improve Disney

I am totally against the paying for the front of the line passes and have absolutely NO problem whatsoever with the fastpass system as is thank you very much.

Me, too. :thumbsup2 There is something "unDisney" about buying your way to the front of the line.

Just because it's morning and this is the only thing that I think about at this hour:

Get rid of that sludge that Disney calls coffee and get something worth drinking!

Oh, I feel better just getting that off of my chest. Now for another cup of Gevalia.

YES! They can build Everest, but can't master Mr Coffee?:confused3

I would make everyone take a test before they entered the park. If you're a rude idiot, you would not be allowed in. EVER.

Just reading another thread about Lassiter got me thinking of another idea: Get Pixar more heavily involved in re-imagining what the parks could and should be. Get rid of all sacred cows and let them dream up theme parks for the 21st Century.

Also, another idea; Make the parks more multi-perspective. Animal Kingdom is both an amusement park and a botanical/zoological garden, i.e., "real nature". I'd love to see more of the theme parks devoted to botanical gardens. There is a little patch in Epcot, but I think they could make that into the biggest presentation of roses in the country. I'd love to have seen the 20,000 Leagues attraction converted into a "real nature" attraction as well.

I disagree, but is the intention of this thread to comment on what we did and didn't like about other people's ideas?

Quite alright. I didn't mind the pat on the back. :rotfl:

Move the whole kit-n-kaboodle to Iowa. :thumbsup2

I miss Disney World...I'm too far away now.:sad1:

Can you imagine how hostile the already hostile people would get if people were cutting in to the front of the line. It is bad enough with the fast pass system that people don't understand, front of the line passes would be worse!

I TOTALLY agree about the coffee--why, why, why can't they get something besides instant coffee?????

Value and moderate resorts for families of 5 or more. It costs almost double for a family of five to go to Disney vs a family of 4.

I believe Disney has designed a way to handle it, i.e., as they handle FastPass re-entry today.

O kay here are mine!

A pirate (or boy themed) character breakfast! I don't even have boys I have two girls but there are only so many princess meals you can do before it gets way old. I personally think A Jack Sparrow meal would draw huge crowds! Maybe at the Caribbean beach resort:confused3

Starbucks or something similiar! the coffee is awful!!

Refillable mugs at the parks!

At least one more park! I mean there are what like 19 20 hotels on property and only 4 parks (not counting water parks) They continue to build lodging and the parks get fuller and fuller. I mean come on that just seems like a no-brainer to me!

Being able to purchase a "photo ticket" (this was my dh's idea) People could purchase a ticket and be allowed access to the parks in early morning just for the purpose of taking photos.

Better food!!! Better selection! WDW is a family place and it kills me how in some cs places they will only offer two or three things on the kids menu! My dd can only eat so much chicken fingers and mac and cheese!

My dh just added that he wanted a star wars meal at Hollywood studios:thumbsup2

If there was a system like this inplace they would have to do away with fast pass but everyone would want front of the line privleges that it would be as popular as fast pass (while not as annoying, like having to use up one before getting another) but basically in the end it would be alot like fast pass only now what was once free youve shelled out big bucks for.

They should of course charge enough for it so that the folks who want it pay what it is worth. That would control to what extent it becomes as popular as FastPass. And it would offer a better level of service, i.e., the ability to go to the front of most any queue, on demand, instead of on a schedule. That would be something I'd like very very much. :thumbsup2

I think there are plenty of opportunities for wealth to buy privilege at Disney. The resorts are tiered so those who have the money can sleep in luxury. The restaurants are tiered so those who have the money can dine in comfort. There are tours and cruises so those with money can see the backstage workings and see the fireworks from a chokingly close perspective. At the BBB you can doll up your little princess. There are endless choices if you feel you need to get more for your money. I love that there is a semblence of democracy in the parks and that everyone pays the same price and waits in the same lines to ride Soarin'.

I love to see more of a pay for use model, and less of a pay one price model. I think WDW could offer a much better experience for those able to afford it and willing to pay for it. I'd even like to see them even go back to the A- B- C- D- E-ticket arrangement.

I'd slow down the spending of mega-millions on roller coaster attractions dressed up to appear Disneyesque and instead move those funds towards breakthrough innovation into what Disney does best - heavily themed major interior "dark rides" experiences with engaging back stories. Disney is wasting its time trying to compete in the "thirty second thrill for teens" market (place like Six Flags will always rule that real estate).

  • When the park opens, have the PARK be OPEN!!!No more of this "Opens at 10:30" or "Opens at 11:00" crap! Ugh! If I want to ride EE and then ride Kali River Rapids, I ought to be able to do that instead of walking to some other area and having to go back when they get around to opening Kali.

  • More bottled water stations in the wintertime. People still get thirsty and even when you find one, the lines are long.
  • Get rid of the just-for-show bag checks. I'm tired of cramming my pockets full of stuff to avoid them. The fewer lines, the better. Going into a Disney park used to be great fun. Now it is lines and more lines and people going through your stuff and fingeprinting. It's more like being arrested than FUN.

  • In-room television: More magical, less commercial. Once people have paid for the magic, give it to them.
