Yesterday I made a trip to Super Wal-Mart to pick up various items, including the new Harry Potter DVD. It was extremely busy there for 11am on a Tuesday (we live in the middle of nowhere). Anyway, people were in such a rush at the checkout, that I just put everthing up on the counter, let the cashier do her thing, and then swiped my card and signed my name. Nothing strange about that, right?
Well, later, DH was putting the purchases into our budget, and couldn't find the DVD on the receipt! HMMM.... It was in a bag, and the alarms didn't go off as I left, so I didn't think anything of it.
So, this morning I bring the DVD and my receipt in to customer service. The cashier looks at me like I'm nuts and says, "So, do you want to pay for this?"
I told her that I wouldn't have been able to watch that movie without feeling guilty, so of course I wanted to pay for it.
What would you have done? Wished DH hadn't itemized the receipt
