My family will be getting to Disney several hours before myself. They are also taking my luggage so I just have to get myself there.

We have an ADR at Epcot at 7pm. I would love to make this ADR but my flight gets in at 6pm.

How much time would I save if I simply took a taxi from the airport straight to Epcot instead of using Magical Express?

How much does it cost to take a taxi?

TIA!

1- Figure that taxi ride (once boarded and underway) would take about 40 minutes, give or take.

Going the DME Route (going to the resort first) could take up to 2 hours, or so.

2- About $55, plus tip.

Where is your reservation, if in WS you also need to get there from the front of Epcot, I am not sure if you can get taxi to the other entrance. it definitely be faster with just taxi to Epcot reather then to your resort and then to Epcot. If no delays with a flight and you can get taxi fast, you can make it. I suggest to stay on a phone with them and I also suggest them to tell at TS place about your situation and see how long they can delay them being seated.

If your plane lands on time, you still won't likely step off the plane until 6:15 or so. Then you have to make your way through the airport to get into a cab. That will be another 15 minutes. Then it's a 45 minute drive to Epcot. You're already at least 7:15 and you still have to walk through the park to the restaurant.

Keep in mind that some (I think most) restaurants won't seat you until the entire party is there. If your plane is late, or you have another unexpected delay, you may be keeping the rest of your family waiting for a long time.
